He nodded walking over to the the hood of the flyer lifting it up only to have lots of smoke fly up into his face causing him to cough as he wiped the smoke away through the use of waving his arm

Scooter tried to suppress a giggle as the smoke flies up into his brother's face.
"Now, that can't be a good sign. Let me take a look Chip" Gadget said hopping out of the jet and looking into the hood of the jet.

Gadget looks into the engine. "Scooter I just found the perfect thing for you to do to help. Would you please hand me the flash light on my work bench Scooter please?" Gadget said.
"You got it Gadget" Scooter said with a smile and handed over the flash light to Gadget.
"Thank You"
"Your welcome" Scooter said.
"AW ha I know my problem Chip." Gadget said.
She tinkers with the motor a bit.
"Now, everything should work smoothly."Gadget said.

"Yeah" Gadget said.
Dale walked in.
Dale: Hey Chip where did you put all the food? There's no good food around this joint and it was your turn to pick up groceries. I need my chocolate buzz Chip you know that.
"Dale, would you mind being our test pilot?" Gadget said.
Dale yawns.
"Well, gee I don't know Gadget being a test pilot sounds like work. "Dale said putting his feet up on the work bench and closes his eyes.
"I'll be the test pilot" Scooter said.
"Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, thank you sweetie. But you're still very, very, very, young. We need a grown up to test out this invention."Gadget said.
She walks over to Chip. "Would you mind doing this again Chip? Because it looks like one of our team isn't cooperating. "She said glancing over at Dale. "I'm just glad Scooter looks up to you a bit more then his Uncle. Dale is not a very good role model" She whispered to Chip.

"Yeah me too Gadget" Chip whispered to her. He shrudded the thought of Skipper turning out just like Dale. "I'll test it out and in the meanwhile Dale you can go fetch the groceries since you seem so keen as to sit around and do nothing all day' he says

Dale just groans in frustration. " I'll just order a pizza" Dale said not even wanting to get up.
"I really hated to do this but........................." Gadget started and walked up behind Dale and pulls out Dale's chair that he was sitting in causing Dale to fall to the floor.
"If you're so inclined to do nothing all day would you mind just leaving and being a lazy jerk somewhere else please?" Gadget said.
Dale grumbled to himself as he stormed out of the workshop.
"Can I get the groceries? I'll be really careful. " Scooter said.
"I don't know Scooter that sounds like a really big job what do you think Chip"? Gadget said.

Chip took a moment to think it over before replying "I think it'll good for him Gadget so long as he can get Monty to go with him anyway"

"I could always get Dale to come..................." Scooter started.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" Gadget said a bit to quickly. "I mean uhhhhhh how do I put this"? Gadget said trying to find a way to explain to Scooter that Dale was very irresponciible and would probably wind up getting Scooter lost, hurt or killed.
"You see..... Scooter....... Dale is.......... how do I put this? Dale....... is................... well, he's ..........."
Gadget could only say afraid to talk bad about his Uncle when Scooter was around.
"He's what Gadget?" Scooter asked with big innocent eyes looking up at Gadget.
"Don't worry Mate I'll take ya to the store. Besides we've run out of cheese" Monteray Jack said.
Gadget exhales a long breath as Jack comes in just in the nick of time to distract Scooter so she didn't have to explain to Scooter.
"Thanks Gadget" Scooter said and gets up on his tippy toes and gives her a small kiss on the cheek.
He runs over to Chip and hugs him tightly . "And thank you big bro" Scooter says happily.
"DOn't worry Chip-o Lad your kid brother is in good hands ." Monteray Jack said.
As he and Scooter left to go get groceries.
"That was a close one. Frankly I'd prefer Zipper going with Scooter to Dale. Zipper might be small but at least he's responcible." Gadget said.

"My thoughts exactly Gadget. Scooter should be fine with Monteray though and while they are out getting some more food we can test out the flyer" Chip says

"Don't worry Gadget I'm sure it works just fine now" Chip says as he fastened his seat belt and began to start the engine which sputtered a couple times at first before it started working properly
