"Your welcome" Dag walks in and sees Barry waiting for them. " Is Kate okay?"
"Yea she is sleeping in her room" Barry tells him.

Dag and Barry both nod.
Next morning, Kate runs down the staris. She looks around to see if her parents were home.

Norb hadn't slept at all that night. He kept thinking about Treeflower and dreaded telling his daughter that her mother was gone forever. He hardly even noticed Kate coming down stairs to join him, Barry, and Dag.

"Daddy your home" Kate says and runs over and jumps into his arms. She hugs him.

At first Norb had been caught off guard by his daughter's hug as he had been lost in his own thoughts and hadn't noticed her until she hugged him. It took him a moment to hug her back though he found himself unable to speak as he searched for the right words to tell her the terrible news of her mother.

Dag walks over and gently rest hand on Kate's back.
"Where's Mommy?" Kate asked.
Dag frowns. She was only 4 how can they really explain death to Kate.

The question nearly snapped Norb's heart in two. He looked to his brother and Barry hoping either of them could help him explain the bad news gently to Kate.
