Astrid nodded, not wanting Hiccup to know that she was just a little intimidated by Scarbod's father. "Sure," she agreed, looking over at Scarbod, who looked as nervous as she felt. "Come on, " she urged Hiccup, gripping his hand in hers. "I want to meet Scarbod," she said, tugging on Hiccup's arm. "She looks like she could use a friend."

Hiccup nodded follow Astrid as the two of them walked over to Scarbod.

Astrid took a few tentative steps toward Scarbod, not wanting to startle the girl away. "Hello, Scarbod," she said, trying to keep her voice low and gentle, which was a hard thing for her to do after she she had spent her childhood shouting out battle cries for her clan."I'm Astrid," she introduced herself, holding her hand out for Scarbod to shake. "Want to be friends?"

"I'm Hiccup" Hiccup introduced himself to Scarbod as well.
