Peg's ears perked up. Wagging her tail hopefully, she crept to the bars of her prison, sticking her tongue out between the bars in order to lick the girl's hand. This had to be the one, she thought, because she was so tired of running...she was ready to settle into a new home.

"Are you sure sweetie?" Her dad asks.
The little girl nods her head and looks at her dad hopefully.
"Okay I'm gonna find the dog catcher so he can let her out. "Her dad said.
20 minutes later the dog catcher walks up to Peg's cage and unlocks the door.
Her dad puts a leash on Peg and walks her out to the car.

Even though Peg had found herself in yet another cage, she couldn't stop wagging her tail. After spending most of her life running from dogcatchers and getting put in the pound, she was finally going to live in a new home with owners who seemed like good, caring people. She barked in exitement at the prospect.

The little girl smiled at Peg. "Just wait till you meet Tipper you're gonna love him" The little girl said to Peg.

Wondering who Tipper was, Peg quizzically tilted her head up at the little girl, suspecting that Tipper just might be another dog or some other kind of pet that the girl owned.

"Oh, Tipper is another dog who is living with us. He's a Jack Russel Terrier pup. You'll love him" The little girl known as Chelsea said.

Peg nodded, thinking that Tipper was an interesting name. Wondering how he had got it, she turned to look at the window, wishing she could see out of it from where she was lying in the cage. She couldn't wait until she got to her new home!

They finally get to to this huge house. "Well here we are girl" Chelsea's dad said and opened the cage and the car door so Peg could explore her new home.

Peg couldn't help herself. Barking loudly, she ran toward front door of the house, which looked liked her dream home. Spinning around, she barked at Chelsea, urging her to go a little faster. She was eager to explore the interior of the house.

As she waited on Chelsea and her family to get out of the car, Peg ran about the yard, sniffing at every tree and blade of grass she could find. The smells here were very refreshing after she had spent years living with the revolting stench in the dogpound. She was really going to like it here.

Chelsea follows Peg. Just then a little puppy ran up sniffing Peg his tail wagging happily. "Hi. I'm Tipper, who are you" Tipper asked happily.
