Angel was a bit unsure whether or not if it was a wise idea or a crazy one to be taking a motorcycle her best friend Emily had spotted, but if it was going to help them get to Judy faster, than she trusted her elvish cat friend and sat into the sidecar after being told to get in there to take a seat. While she waited for Emily to find a way to get the motorcycle started, Angel did find two pairs of helmets, both of switch that were sitting inside of the sidecar that she was at. "Hmm...what funny looking hats these are." She mumbled, staring at the helmet in her paws after picking one up and putting it onto her head to see if it was a good fit or not.
But right away in no time, Emily was able to get the motorcycle running and they took off while chasing after the train. Angel held on tight for dear life. "THIS IS THE MOST CRAZIEST IDEA YOU'VE COME UP WITH!!" Angel screamed as a response to Emily's question while the wind blew their fur, but then the hobbit/wizard cat found herself enjoying the ride. "BUT I AM LOVING IT! WOOT!!" She cheered while laughing and raising her paws up into the air. "Can we do that again?" She asks Emily excitedly after they had arrived to Bunnyburrow right on time when Judy's train arrived.
During her train trip back to Bunnyburrow, even listening to her music through her iPod Nano wasn't enough for Judy to get her mind off the break-up with Nick, so she set aside her MP3 player by putting it away into her pocket and started stuffing her mouth with snacks she had purchased at the snack stands back at the train station earlier, while crying and ignoring all of the bewildered looks going on from the other passengers inside of the train.
Judy finished munching down onto her bag of chips and took a sip of a bottle of water to wash down the taste as she step out of the train, along with the rest of the small and bigger mammals stepping out. "JUDY!!" Angel was the first one to called out the bunny's name after the two cats got off the bike and hurried up alongside to the rabbit.
"Angel? What are you doing here?" Judy asks, surprised to see the queen again following her from all the way to Zootopia to her childhood home Bunnyburrow.
"Emily and I are here to have an important talk with you." Angel answered.
"Emily?" Judy repeated the name with a bit of confusion, until she took a look at the cat next to her that was much more taller, and realize it was the same feline that Angel had mentioned about. "Ohh right! You must be the one friend whose like a close sister to Angel. She's mention a lot about you." The bunny says to Emily, realizing the two of them didn't exactly had a chance to give out a much more proper introduction due to the embarrassment of what went on back at the apartment.
It wasn't so hard to figure out that the only reason why only Emily and Angel show up all the way to follow after Judy was so they could try to get the rabbit back together with her fox mate. "But look, you two are wasting your times here, it's useless to be...to--" Judy began to say, but then she was starting to feel a bit funny and unwell.
Even the two cats had taken notice of the bunny going pale. "Umm Judy, are you o--" Angel began to ask, but stop once the rabbit rushed right to the nearest trash can she could find and vomited inside. The hobbit/wizard queen cat herself cringe hearing the noises of gagging and puking.
"Ugh, sorry about that. I think I ate too much snacks back in the train and got a bit car sick from the ride." Judy apologized, becoming somewhat embarrassed that they had to see that happened.
But Angel was unsure whether or not if that were really the case. "I see...well, you should know by now why we're arrived. Poor Nick is really upset about the--"
"I DON'T WANT TO GO BACK, I'M NEVER GOING BACK THERE!!!" Judy had quickly suddenly become angry with the cat, yelling at her instantly. "I did society a favor because nobody wants to see a fox and a rabbit being together, so why should I care now!?!?" She continued as her tone went from anger to being mixed with sadness. "All those 6 months of secretly dating and 3 weeks of a public engagement have gone down to waste!" She sobbed.
"Well this is odd, her behavior has change drastically...she's not pregnant is she?" Angel had began to think to herself seeing how Judy's mood swings had taken a bit of a drastic change so fast from emotion wreck to another. She knew the poor rabbit was upset she had to break things off with Nick, but did it had to go as far as to making the bunny feel sick and emotional so much? It was impossible to tell this so soon.
Judy had stop crying when she had taken notice that right behind the two cats, just a few feet away from them was a 24 year old female tiger wearing a white sleeveless top and black pants with piercings on her ears whispering something to a 18 year old male lion with a blue open jacket, brown pants and a grey shirt that was hanging out with her. The bunny had grown suspiciously of the two predators seeing how she had spotted the two of them back from the train, noticing that they had been eyeing on her a few times.
In fact, Judy hadn't been listening to Emily or Angel trying to talk some sense into her, so instead of she sneak off without letting the cats know why. "Judy? Hey Judy, wait!" The feline called after the bunny, following after her. But Judy continued on ignoring the cats tagging along with her as she check behind a few times, noticing that even the lion and tiger were also heading in the same direction as her and the other two cats.
"Judy, stop!" Angel ordered right at time once the rabbit did stop moving. "Hasn't anyone told you it's rude to--"
"SHHH! Judy shush the cat immediately after she turn around to make the cat stop speaking, checking one last final time to make sure that they were no longer followed. Much to her surprise, the lion and tiger were nowhere in sight. "Whew, what a relief!" Judy sighed now that she could relax that the three of them weren't being spied on, but that bit of relief did not last for very long once Judy did turn back and jumped back by surprised to see the lion and tiger right in front of them.
"Well well well, look what we have here Leah. Two lost kitty cats and a helpless little bunny rabbit." Spoken the male lion to his female companion.
"Yes, I can see that Neal." Leah replied rolling her eyes at the young lion before glancing down at the three smaller animals. "Lost your way around ladies?" She asks teasing the two cats and rabbit with a sly grin.
Judy had kept cautious as she stood in front of the two cats closely behind her back. She had a hunch she had been track down lately since leaving Zootopia and not in the most positive way either. "Actually, we were just leaving." Judy tells the larger predators as she and the other two cats slowly back away from them and make a turn to leave, but then became surrounded by the rest of other predators.
"Oh ho ho, you three aren't going anywhere." Leah grinned evilly and then gave the rest of the members the order to sic' em. "GET THEM!"
Fast on her feet, Judy began dodging the animals and made a run for it, but skid to a stop only to see that Emily and Angel had stood behind, trying to fight them off. The bunny raced right back after the two cats to take them away from the fights. "Now's not the time to risk your nine lives. Come on, let's go!" Taking them both by the paws, Judy led Angel and Emily away from the crowd of predators, but then in a snatch, Neal grabbed both Angel and Judy from his right paw and grabbed Emily with his left paw.
"Excellent work Neal." Leah congratulated the lion for a job well done, by giving him a thumbs up. She led Neal and the rest of the crew back to their trucks back to the parking lot, where Neal drop the two cats and a bunny into a brown sack, and put them away into a small cage that was in the back of the truck that he shared with Leah. Angel put her claws to use by ripping an open tear to the sack, allowing for them to get out, but were now doomed to see that they had been locked away.
"Okay fellas, let's blow this burrow dump!" Leah called out to the others through her window after taking the driver seat in the truck once Neal had joined her. And off they rode, leaving Bunnyburrow for good with Leah and Neal leading the way.
"HEY! This burrow dump is my home!!" Judy glared, shouting out from the back.
"You mean Zootopia is not your REAL home?" Angel cried in shock after hearing the rabbit's outburst.
"It is my home. Well it currently was. I grew up in Bunnyburrow before I moved to Zootopia to become a cop, but why should that matter to you right now? You're already mad at me because I was almost on my way to marrying a fox!!!" Judy briefly explained, but was now already taking it out on the queen by yelling at her.
Angel's cat ears lower down sadly. "Judy, I am not upset because you and Nick were together and are not the same species, no! That is NOT why I am upset! I was upset because you kept a secret by lying to me." Angel made it clear without shouting back at her, but her tone was now cold and distant, so she moved away from the two girls and sat over by the side corner with her back facing Judy and Emily.
Judy was somewhat taken by surprise. Ever since she had met Angel yesterday, along with Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Legolas and Gimli before the cats had found Aragorn and Emily the next day, the poor female bunny had still fear that the cats would've had the same reaction as the rest of the citizens back in Zootopia, and she was mostly right what with Samwise Gamgee for the most part. She had been so used to everyone else judging her and Nick at very turn, she had never would've guess, not in a million years, that there would be other animals out there whom didn't seem to find it to be a problem that she was with Nick.
Judy sighed sadly as her ears droop down, so she went by to Angel's side and joined her by sitting down next to her. "Angel, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to, but how was I supposed to know it wasn't going to bother you? I'd just recently met you yesterday, you have to understand why I had to keep it under wraps." Judy reassured Angel. "I did mean what I said when I told you I was getting engaged, I just thought it would be best you'd knew as long as you didn't find out it was Nick."
Angel had also let out a sigh too, but shook her head in disappointment. "Well, I suppose I may have overacted a little, just a bit. But that is still no excuse. I know this because I was raised well to know that keeping secrets and fibbing lies is wrong."
"Then that's good because that means your parents taught you well. So you're not mad at me?" Says Judy, seeing how Angel was the first mammal to know better to never lie or keep secrets.
"Mad? Well I am still overly surprised to find out a fox and a bunny would ever be together, since back in Middle Earth, people of different race have been paired up together before, but not animals." Angel shortly explained a bit to Judy, since it was going to take a while for this type of surprise shocking news for the queen to sink in. "So no, I suppose not. But I'm sorry if--"
It took all of Judy's efforts not to smile, but she had failed in doing so by quickly rolling her eyes at her and shaking her head a bit. "Apology accepted."
Now that they had gotten all of that outta the way, they knew they needed to escape. Luckily for them, the key Neal used to locked them up was nearby, but it was out of their reach. So together, they try dragging the cage by giving it a good push and a shove until they were able to get the key and unlocked the cage in order for them to escape.
Neal was the first one to take notice of their escape. "Umm Leah, we got ourselves a bit of situation problem." He inform the tiger. Wondering what he was talking about, it was at the last second Leah had notice the cats and rabbit had left. "WHAT!?!" She cried. The rest of the gang following behind them had also spotted the rabbit and cats escaping as well, so Leah commanded to go after them. After quite a while of chasing them, Judy was split up from the cats once she had taken a different direction path while Angel and Emily went to the other.
Eventually Judy had stop running once she had lost sight of the animals in the trucks chasing after her. Unfortunately, she was separated from Emily and Angel and no idea where they were. She still wanted to return back to Bunnyburrow as planned, but at around the same time, she couldn't leave the two female cats behind just to get re-capture again. So Judy headed back, but sad to say she had became lost and had no idea where to go from this point on.
"Angel! Emily! Where are you??!" Judy desperately called out to their names, over and over again, but failed with no luck. She continued on wandering aimlessly until she reach a destination she was not familiar with, but maybe just maybe, hopefully with any luck, perhaps she would be able to find the cats and hoped for the best that they were okay and would be still alive. But then all of a sudden, Leah and Neal were able to catch up to the rabbit, and once again were on a sudden chase going after the bunny again. It went on for quite some time until Judy had headed down an alley where she saw that she had became trapped.
Leah stop the truck, and step out, and so did Neal. "There's no where to run little lost bunny." Leah taunted.
"And no where to hide!" Neal also taunted as well. He was the first one to reach out to the rabbit to grabbed her, but Judy thought fast and used her hind legs to kicked the lion's paw away, smacking straight into his nose. "OW! Why you little--" He growled.
Judy smirk with pride for giving the lion what he rightfully deserved, but not for very long once her smirk had faded and she was beginning to feel sick to her stomach again. She covered her mouth quickly and try to make a run to the quickest trash can that was nearby behind Neal, but failed to make it on time when she couldn't hold back the puke for much longer and accidentally vomit all over on Neal's foot.
"EWW GROSS!!!" Neal cried, backing away from the ill rabbit by hopping on one foot to shake off the throw up away from his other foot. Leah growled, so she was the next one to make the first attack by swiping her paw at the poor rabbit, sending the bunny flying back up against the wall where she had hit her head and collapsed.
Just then, a flash of white fur showed up outta nowhere and began on fighting the tiger, and then another one came and fought the lion too. But the hit to the head was making Judy lost consciousness. Try as she might, she began to lose her vision soon enough. And the last thing she had seen was a orange figure, unable to tell whom this animal was that was coming to her rescue, yet it appear to be what look like to be a fox. "N-Nick?" But it was too late to tell and Judy was out like a light.
Hours had passed in what felt like it had been forever, but Judy had slowly awoken at last. "Huh? Where...where am I?" She groaned, waking up to finding herself at a hospital.
"You're in a hospital miss." Replied a doctor whom just so happened to be a female honey badger, checking up on her file of the patient through a clipboard in her paws.
"It's Judy, Judy Hopps." The bunny corrected the doctor before being able to sit up straight in a more comfortable position in the bed.
"Well then, you're lucky enough to be alive Ms. Hopps, if not for the one-eyed fox whom came to your aid." The doctor replied back.
"One-eyed fox? What one-eyed fox?" Judy asks, her ears perking up with interest, having no idea what the doctor was talking about. That was, until she had spotted right at the last minute was an old fox sitting at a chair just at the very corner of the same room she was in, right by the window. Now she knew what the doctor had meant when she had mention word about a one-eyed fox, given how the left side of the fox's face was covered up in a black cloth.
"Umm this one-eyed fox has a name you know." He corrected the doctor by getting up outta his chair as he approach her and the bunny. "Hey, morning sleeping beauty! How you feeling today?" He gave out his greeting directly towards Judy.
"Ugh, how long was I out for?" Judy groaned, rubbing her head but by then had noticed her head had been bandaged up once she had touched it.
"A few hours, but meh whose counting?" The fox replied, shrugging his shoulders.
"Doctor, can you send a nurse to bring me a glass of water please?" Judy asks, groaning in pain as she clutch onto her stomach tightly, feeling very icky with the minor pain coming back to her again.
"Certainly." The doctor nodded and left the room, leaving the fox to be alone with the rabbit.
For a moment, Judy had no idea what to say to the fox, other than the fact she was grateful she got rescued by him. "Thank you. For saving my life, mister uhh--" She stopped, realizing that she didn't get his name after she woke up.
"The name is Jonathan. Jonathan Wilde." The fox responded, giving out his name so it would be a bit less awkward for the bunny.
"Wilde?" Judy whisper to herself, confused to find out that this old one-eyed fox share the same last name as Nick. She remain silent as she stared Jonathan and the more she thought about it, the very thing that was very noticeable about Jonathan is that he looked just like Nick, but much more older and a different eye color compare to Nick.
"Umm you wouldn't happened to know another fox by the name of Nick with the same last name as yours would you?" Judy asks Jonathan, wondering if it was possible that maybe Jonathan may have some connections with her ex-fiance.
Jonathan was barely just taking out a small package of cigarettes from the pocket in his jacket, but he paused in the middle of taking out a single cigarette out of the little box once the bunny had asked about Nick. "You know about my son?" He asks.
Judy's mouth dropped in shock as her eyes widen in surprise. It had seem to be quite the big coincidence that Jonathan would be sharing the same last name as Nick, but now it all made sense after discovering that her rescuer was none other than the father of her ex-fiance. "YOUR SON!?!" She said in disbelief, looking quite as shocked as ever. The bunny had seem to recall meeting Nick's mother Mary a few times ever since Nick had graduated from the police academy by becoming Zootopia's first ever fox to become a cop, but never before had met Nick's father up until now. "You're Nick's father? Wow...it--makes a lot of sense now. You even look just like him, expect for the eye color. That makes a big difference!" Judy had pointed out since Jonathan's eye color is blue and not green like Nick's.
"Yeah he gets the green eyes trait from his mother, but that still doesn't explain how you know about my son." Jonathan replied, still questioning how the bunny he saved still had any knowing about his son Nicholas.
Judy tried her best thinking of some ways how to tell the old one-eyed fox how she knew about Nick, but given the fact that she had just recently broke up with Nick back in Zootopia, she didn't have the heart to tell Jonathan, whom could've been her father-in-law if she had been married to his son by now, that she used to be Nick's mate. "I know your son because I work with him at the ZPD. We're working partners. Our job is by making the world a better place and solving crimes together every single day." She revealed and that was all she had told him and nothing else after that.
Jonathan blinked in surprise. Never before would he ever think that someday, a fox would dare be bold enough to joined the Zootopia Police Department to become the first ever fox officer, up until now. "My son, a police officer? Wow..." He knew that as a father, it would've been the proudest moment of his life, yet he regret not being there to see it himself.
"Here's your water Miss Hopps." Said a female otter nurse who arrived, bringing the rabbit a glass of water as requested.
"Thank you." Judy replied, taking the glass after it was offer to her and took a couple of few sips from the glass.
But the nurse had taken notice of the rabbit's guest trying to light up his cigarette with a lighter. "Sir, there is no smoking allowed inside of the hospital. I'd suggest you take it outside!" The nurse otter told Jonathan strictly and pointed a finger out the door. "There's the door!" She added.
"Ugh!" Jonathan grunted and rolled his eye at the nurse. He put away his lighter into his pocket, and kept both of his paws inside of his two pockets. "Well if you need me Hoppy, just be sure to give out a bleat, or a yowl, or...whatever kind of sound you bunnies make." He addressed to Judy before turning over to the nurse. "Do bunnies make sounds?" He asks the otter.
"Not that I know of." The nurse replied in answering Jonathan's ridiculous question.
But the fox just shrugged. "Well I'll be out and about. In the meantime, I should be looking for my uhh--twin sidekicks. Robbie's probably somewhere down by the cafeteria with his twin brother Bobbie chowing down some goodies by now." He purposely used the term sidekicks since he didn't want to give the nurse the wrong idea that his goons Robbie and Bobbie, the polar bear twins, were actually his henchmen. So Jonathan had left the room, giving the rabbit some time to ease up and rest.
The nurse had also left as well to check up on the other patients in the hospital. After they were both gone, the honey badger return back to Judy's room to give the bunny some important news. "Well I've run some tests Ms. Hopps, and it appears we've found something you should be able to know."
Judy gulped nervously, unsure whether or not if this was a sign of good news or bad news. "What is it? Is it the stomach flu?" She asks.
"No it's more than that." The doctor replied.
"More than that? What could be more bigger than a stomach flu? Judy thought to herself, now becoming highly concern. "Well...what is it then?" She asks, then awaited for the answered as she took another sip from her drink of water.
"Judy Hopps...it would appear that, well...you're pregnant!" The female honey badger revealed to the rabbit now at last. Thus, this cause the rabbit to be taken off guard by surprise by this sudden unexpected big announcement, that she spat her drink outta her mouth in shock. "WHAT!!?" The bunny cried, letting the moment sink in for itself.
