Kate studied Wesley for a moment as if trying to figure out if he really meant what he said. Deciding she could see no sign of dishonesty she asked "So he is part of your pack then?"

"Yes! And it's time that we leave. Come along Humphrey. The pack is waiting for you." Wesley answered Kate's question and noted for Humphrey to follow him.
"Sorry if we disturb the peace. We--" Humphrey try making his apology to Kate the alpha, but the snapping shout-outs from his omega leader had him cut off. "HUMPHREY! NOW!!"
"I--I gotta go. Bye." Humphrey says sadly and hurries after his pack leader. They were soon out of the clearing and made sure that they were a couple of miles away far from Lilly, Kate, Mazie and Scooter so they would had a personal and private discussion.
"I'm...I'm sorry Wesley. Am I in trouble?" He asks as his ears drooped down. "Far from it!" Wesley reply before he went on. "Did you know who you made contact with?"
"No." Humphrey said. "Those were alphas! And by law, we are forbidden to be near them." The omega leader told him. "Why?" Humphrey curiousity ask him. "Because we are omegas!"

"I didn't like that guy's tone. We just wanted to play with his wolf pup. What is his problem"? Lilly asked.
"Well come on Scooter we better get back to our family" Mazey said sadly.
"But, Mazey we don't have a fami"
Mazey quickly covers Scooter's mouth with a paw. They had never told Lilly and Kate that they were orphans.

Kate wondered for a moment if she would ever see Humphrey again before turning back to face the others.
"What did you say Scooter?" She asks.

Later that day as the sun was just settling down for that night, Humphrey got punished without supper, but he couldn't help but bragged to his brotherly friends about meeting an alpha pup like Kate for the first time when he was in search for their leader.

Scooter mumbles what he said since Mazey's paw was still over his mouth. "Nothing, he said absoloutely nothing" Mazey lied quickly.
Lilly ran up in front of Mazey and Scooter to prevent them from running away.
"Look, Mazey you and Scooter are our best friends but you're more then that you're like our brother and sister. Family doesn't hide secrets there's nothing in the world that you can't tell me and Kate" Lilly said looking at her friends sadly.

"He said we didn't have a family. Me and Scooter are Orphans . Our parents left us when we were just babies. " Mazey said looking down sadly

Kate gave them a sympathetic look before replying "Well you have one now. We're a pack and that makes you family, right Lilly?" Kate says.

Lilly nods her head quickly her fur covering her eye shaking up and down. "Yeah, you're all our family. You guys are like brother and sister to us" Lilly said giving them both a lick on the cheek.

"Speaking of family we should head back to the pack before everyone freaks out." Kate says before leading the way back she hoped was the right way secretly leaving her sister and their friends to follow her.

Lilly Mazey and Scooter sigh as Kate had the tone in her voice that she didn't. "I got an idea, let's all play a game, that'll make the time go by quicker" Lilly said.
