For a moment Arthur was dumbfounded and taken aback. He shook his head to snap out of it forcing himself to stand taller and prouder.
"You're a liar. My mother died long ago when I was a pup." He replied. That was always what his father had told him growing up instead of telling him the actual truth that his mother had broken pack law and had been banished because of it, forced to leave him behind.

Arthur was taken aback for a moment. His jaw opening slightly in shock. So this wolf really was his mother. How could his father lie to him his whole life about his mother being dead?
"So you're our grandma?" Richard asked as he stood beside Arthur looking up at her.
Zedd following behind Gaius said nothing. He never told anyone except for Merlin and Gaius that Richard was his grandson, not even Richard himself knew. He only knew that Zedd was one of the wolf elders of the pack like Gaius and Zedd knew as painful as it was, it had to stay that way, for Richard's sake.

Lil bonces over and nuzzles her grandmother's head." Tell us about alll your adventures!!"
"Yea! Tell us! Did you fight bears? LIONS" Landon yips along excitedly.

"Your grandmother can tell you everything after we get back to our camp and join the rest of the pack." Arthur replied.

"Come along pups" Merlin tells all three of her Pups. She watches as the Pups run along beside Igriane happily. Merlin smiled and nuzzles Arthur. She was happy for him to have his mother back.

He nuzzled her back before following the others with Merlin back to the rest of the pack.

Igraine smiles as she watchs Arthur and Merlin's pups happily jump around her. She loved her grandchildren already.

"Cool!" Makayla yips happily.
Next day, everyone had welcome Igraine to the pack with open arms.
Lil running along a path towards a near by stream. She had asked her mother to go there since Igraine was there drinking water.
"Grandma! "Lil barks happily as she trots along. She pauses. She got a scent. It smelled like her grandmother. Yet it smelled different. Lil hurries forward. She sees the fourm of her grandmother laying by the stream's edge.
Lil gasps and hurries forward. " Grandma?" Lil say and nuzzles her side with her nose." Grandma?"
Lil lets out a long sad howel. She was told Pups could only howle when in trouble or great importants.
Merlin soon howels back and starts to run to where her daughter was at. Merlin reaches the stream's edge. She sees Igraine laying there. She hurries over. She looks the old wolf over. She was wounded badly but still breathing.
Merlin wonder who could have done this. Merlin sees the large wolf print in the mud near by. It was the great wolf. Where they sending them a message?
Merlin pulls Lil back gently. Merlin howels calling for Arthur and Gaius.

hearing not only his daughter's howl but his mate's as well, arthur came running with gaius to see what was going on.
arthur stopped dead in his tracks when he saw his mother. for a couple moments he seemed to be completely frozen where he stood
