Merlin has felt curse since the momment his mother died when he was only a baby. Since then he was dragged all around America. He has been in so many schools he seem to lost count over the years. Got to be so much he bearly made any friends because of this. He was even beside that fact more of people person then his older brother Gwaine.
His first true friend was Gwen Thomas. Also his frist crush. He had been 11 when he met her. He was far to shy to ask her to hang out. She was forward and had asked him to join her and her father and brother for dinner. It was one of his best memories as child. Made him feel normaly for just one night. That was last he had saw of Gwen.
Years later at age 18 with lot of work and bit of luck. He gain a full ride to college in London England. Doing so he had leave America and his family.
He knew how much his father was angry at him for leaving. He felt was his only chance to have normal life that he could ever have. He dream of getting married and having kids and becoming a doctor.
Where he met Arthur Pendragon for the first time. Arthur a law student and son of one of the richest bussines men in london. Took Merlin bit to realize and fight the fear to see his feelings for Arthur.
Knowing this was risk being hunter he always knew he was. I he let his heart lead him on. Only blocking of the truth knowing the demons had plans to come for Arthur.
