Both Merry and Pippin did as they were told from the white wizard and started to turn away. "And don't be sneaking any meals!" Pippin froze in place and softly grunted to himself and snapped his fingers as if to say, "Darn it!" After helping get the necessary provisions packed up, they were on their way to yet another grand adventure, just like old times. Hopefully, this adventure wouldn't be as treacherous or risky as the last one was. Once at the Prancing Pony Inn, Pippin took notice of the hanging sign above the entrance and sighed with glee, "Ah, the Prancing Pony. I think I might have a pint of ale for myself to start with when we get inside." Merry was riding next to him and leaned in to say, "I think I will, too. Let's hope it's not all dull and boring in there tonight."

"Nothing gets past him!" Frodo thought to himself, a bit unsure if he should say something about it or not to Gandalf, but for now, he let it go.
Meanwhile, once the wizard caution the princess about keeping her secret safe, she understood but what was nervous. She became worried, knowing for sure that something may go wrong. The rest of the group begin to have a good dinner, but Angel had a hunch that many of the fellow guests inside of the inn were giving her stares.
Angel try ignoring the eye contact they were giving her while she was eating her soup. Sam watch as he eat, noticing she was the only one using a spoon for she did not wanted to get her gloves all messy.
"You eat like a bird." Sam says after swallowing a bite of his food. "Then you be the first!" Angel said, mentioning that he was the first and only one to tell her so, wiping her mouth clean like a young lady should. Growing up from royalty, she knew very well how to use table manners.
Frodo return back with extra loads of food. "Goodness, Baggins! That's a load of food!" Angel says with such surprise.
"All of it is not for me, it's for us!" Frodo replies while watching his friends dig in on the extra seconds. Frodo reaches for an apple, breaks it in half, and hands the one piece over to Angel. "Here, take it!" He offers.
Angel briefly smiled with such thanks. It was generally sweet of the hobbit to share a piece of fruit with her. At first, she was a bit uncertain if she should eat the other half of the apple with just her hands, but decided to go in for it. She almost took it until a drunken man show up, sitting in between the two, blocking them both.
"Hey do you mind? We were having a conversation here!" Sam told the smelly old man. What was his case? And why was he in the way? The first one he looked at was towards Angel. "A pretty lady like yourself should not be eating with gloves." He tells her, knowing that she was hiding something, so he grabs her hand and tries to yank her away from the others, but she pulled back, where the glove came off, but quickly, Angel hid her metal hand with her cloak she still wore. "Give me back my glove!" She ordered.
"Did you not hear her? She said--" Frodo barked firmly, but the drunken man slaps Frodo in the face with her glove. "I DO WHAT I WANT!" He shouted at him. While he was getting distracted, Angel quietly tip toe her fingers over to her mug, but stops close enough to the handle when the drunken man turn back looking at her.
"Now then, why don't mind joining me with the fellas over there?" He points to the rest of the crew who were grinning and laughing and waving at them. "We'll grab a better bite." He added.
But Angel play it cool. "These days, I prefer someone to buy me drinks first." Finally, she grabs the mug and smacks it across the man's face, knocking him out cold. Frodo had been impressed with the way she had defend herself. It almost sorta made him turn on by it a bit. Thinking fast on her feet, Angel reach of her glove and puts it back on. But it wasn't too long, before the rest of the drunken crew went over to their table and pulled Angel away. "What's the meaning of this?" He commanded at her.
"HEY! GET YOUR HANDS OFF HER!" Frodo cries, he ran after him and jump right on top of his back, causing the weight for them to be both drop. Before the others knew it, the beverage the same men held went flying into the air, and landing one one of the other guests. With that, that guest threw their food towards the other, and the other did the same. Before they knew it, a food fight had begin.

"I would be lying if I didn't see this coming.." Gandalf muttered to himself barely audible as he ducked to avoid being hit by a bowl of soup flying in his direction.
A young woman, a waitress by her plain ordinary clothing, made her way out of the kitchen into the bar his mouth open slightly in shock. "What on earth?" She spoke horrified by the sight of the massive food fight with food flying in every direction.
She ducked a couple times as she made her way over to the table pulling Frodo away from the man he was fighting with separating the two of them giving Gandalf a glare. "I might've known. Whenever you're around there's always trouble." She spoke loud enough for the wizard to hear her as she ducked pulling Frodo down with her for a moment for both of them to avoid being hit by a mug flying in their direction.
"Enough!" Gandalf's voice boomed through the room threateningly scaring some of the local tavern people enough to stop the food fight all together.
"Now then, you will apologize to my friends, and be on your way." Gandalf threatened the man who started the whole thing.
"Sorry." He slurred quickly before retreating back to his table with his other companions.
"Sorry about that Emily, but to be fair, we didn't start it this time." Gandalf apologized turning to the young woman who was helping Frodo back up to his feet after making him duck.
She had a fair complexion with brown eyes and long brown hair that drapped down to the middle of her back and wore a simple white shirt and long blue skirt.
"Sorry about that." She apologized to Frodo before turning to look up at the tall wizard. "Regardless there's a rumor that where you are, trouble is not far behind." She told him but she wore a small smile on her face. "Never did I except to find you in the company of Hobbits, Gandalf." She added good humoredly.
"They are actually quite pleasurable company." He replied with a bit of a smile.

Long after getting settled in with their pints of ale and enjoying themselves with the glorious feast, it wasn't long before trouble would start brewing up at the table they were sitting at. After having drank down a bit of the good ale, Pippin looked over to where the action was going on between Angel and the drunk man, and he leaned in to whisper to Merry, "Uh-oh. This doesn't look good."
Then things started to take an extra turn when a mug started flying, followed by bits of food from other guests in the tavern. Merry grew excited upon witnessing this and said, "Now this is what I'm talking about!" And he proceeded to join in the food fight, grabbing whatever food he had on his plate and throw it everywhere around him, having the time of his life. Encouraged by how fun it looked to him, Pippin did the same thing, ducking every so often to avoid getting hit.
The moment Gandalf proclaimed everyone to stop, the two mischievous hobbits froze in their throwing poses and gradually sat back down in shame. Looking around at the mess they had made, they grew guilty and willingly decided to help clean it all up, apologizing to a few of the guests around them as they did so.

Sam ducked underneath the table with the food fight was beginning. He rolled his eyes and shook his head disappointment from watching Merry and Pippin joined in, but came out from hiding when Gandalf end it all. While the wizard was talking to Emily, Sam went over to make sure Frodo was okay.
"Are you all right Mr. Frodo?" He asks his friend. "I'm's fine Sam!" But then he notice Angel wasn't with them. "Where is she?" He look around. "Angel? ANGEL!"
"I'm over here!!" She called over peeking out by the table she used over by the wall to defend herself. "What on earth are you doing over there?"
"Defending myself from your meal war you started." She says, stepping away from the table and looking at the splashes of food that was left on her cloak. "Ugh, I'm a mess!" She mutters to herself.
"It wasn't intended of me to start it!" Frodo told her. Why the heck would she even get that idea? It had only been an accident.
"I know you mean well." Angel says, showing that there wasn't any hard feelings.

"I don't suppose you have a couple rooms available?" Gandalf asked Emily after taking a moment to watch as Pippin and Merry began cleaning up the mess and Frodo and Angel emerged from their hiding places checking to make sure they were alright.
"Just one." Emily replied. "I'll give you it on one condition." She replied.
"Such as?" Gandalf asked her.
"You allow me to accompany you and your companions and before you refuse do please remember you owe me a few favors." She told him.
For several moments Gandalf said nothing as if thinking the matter over to himself. "Very well but you must promise not to start a war of your own since I have no doubt you've guessed already where I am headed."
"If he behaves I'll behave, that's all I will promise." She replied with a smirk.
"Very well, the key please." He spoke holding out his hand for her to give it to him.
She nodded handing him the keys before turning to face Angel. "I'll help you clean that up if you like." She offered seeing the state of her messy clothing.

As they were both finishing up cleaning the messes around them, Merry and Pippin had caught sight of the pretty and young waitress conversing with Gandalf. While overhearing the conversation and learning that she might like to join the group on their quest, they each figured to themselves that if Angel wasn't available for them to get acquainted with, then this Emily person may be the next best thing they could win her charm over.
Merry rushed up to Emily and remarked at how messy she appeared from the food fight and said, "Oh, bless my soul, you're a mess!" Grabbing for the nearest dish towel around, he began to wipe off the excess food off her attire and said, "Here, let me help you with that."
Pippin wanted to have the chance of helping Emily out as well and went over to try and steal the dish towel away from Merry. "Oh, no, allow me," he said in a gentleman-like manner.
"Oh, no, no, allow ME," Merry said, taking back the dish towel.
Before long, they began to bicker and have a tug-of-war with the towel, doing all they could to impress the young waitress.

"Thank you!" Angel says and removes her cloak. "So I overhearing you'll be accompanying with us?" She says to Emily as she wraps up her cloak neatly. "I'm glad. It will be grand not to be the only female to be guided with a number of males." She added and hands over the messy cloak to the young woman, til she begin watching Merry and Pippin fighting for the sake of her attention they wanted.
Seeing it so made Angel chuckled. Frodo look for the missing half fruit piece he try to give to Angel earlier, and yet he found it all mashed up. He picked up a scoop of it in his hands. "What's the matter Baggins?" Angel took note of the mess he held.
"They ruined the fruit I was going to give you." He says, showing it to her. But Angel did not see anything wrong with it. She took her finger and scoop a bit of it, accidentally flicking it right onto Frodo's nose.
Seeing it made her laugh, it was very unexpected she would do that, but it did work making Frodo feel better. He grinned and playfully tosses the mashed apple sauce right at her.
But Sam stop them. "That's it! No more food fights for the both of you!" He says, though he wasn't too serious about it, he didn't want to be in the middle of that commotion again.

"Yes it will be good to visit King Aragorn and Queen Arwen again since I have not seen them since I first met them with Gandalf." Emily replied with a small smile to Angel. She couldn't help but blush a little when Merry and Pippin soon proceeded to fight over her attention and tried not to chuckle.
'Funny...back home I was never this popular..' She couldn't help but think to herself remembering how it was always her younger cousin that got all the guy attention.
"Thanks but that's not necessary, I can clean myself up." She told them with a warm smile before adding to Gandalf over her shoulder. "Upstairs first room on the left, you'll find your room. It's a large one with a couple beds but one of you may have to sleep on the floor, hope that's okay."
"We'll manage." Gandalf told her with a nod before turning to the others. "Come along then, we'll see Emily again when we set off in the morning." He told them before leading the way up the stairs.

Their tug-of-war with the dish towel ended after they had been pulling on it from each other for a short time. The wetness of the towel made their hands slippery from their grips, causing them to fall to the tavern floor. They looked up at the tall and pretty waitress as she told them that she was fine cleaning herself up. A little disappointed that they didn't get what they wanted, they accepted her wishes and stood up again to face her.
Merry held out a hand to shake hers and said very gentleman-like, "Well, my dear, it was lovely to have met you this fine evening."
Pippin reached both hands out to shake Emily's other hand and said, "Yes, it was lovely to have met you, m'lady." Bowing to her, he said while attempting to be charming for her, "And now, we bid you good night."
And with that, they both went upstairs to join the old wizard before they would fight over who gets one of the beds to sleep on for the night.

"King Aragorn and Queen Arwen? I wonder what they're like." Angel thought curiosity. She had not met them before but when she was little, she did remember having other royalty guests visiting her castle, but has never venture what lives on outside of her kingdom.
Putting that aside, she, along with Frodo and Sam, had already followed Gandalf, Merry and Pippin to the room they were going to be sleeping for the night. Already in no time, they watched Merry and Pippin begin to argue which one of them will get dibs on one of the beds.
"This is no help! They'll be bickering all night!" Sam complained a bit. "Maybe Angel should take one of the beds." Frodo suggested.
"Me?" Angel pointed to herself. "It will only be fair!" Frodo tells her. And it was not because she was just a princess, but it seem like the only right thing to do since she could get enough sleep.
Surely, maybe Angel should of taken the floor, but it would seem uncomfortable to do so. The more generous and polite Frodo had became for her, the more acceptable she saw in him. She cover her mouth as a small yawn escaped. "I am feeling tired."
"Then go on! The rest of us will figure out what to do." Frodo offered. Angel took the first bed she found to be more suitable for her, so she sat down and removed her gloves. Almost forgetting what he had, Frodo was able to find the other half of the fruit, the one that didn't get mashed. "Hey Angel? Catch!" He lightly tosses the half apple to her, and Angel caught in the nick of time with her metal hands.
She had no idea the other half had somehow survived during the food fight from before, but somehow she was pleased that it did managed. Angel smiled at Frodo as her way of saying thank you to him and lies down to rest of the bed, taking one bite of the apple.

"It was a pleasure meeting you both as well." Emily replied with a polite smile before they all followed Gandalf upstaris.
Once upstairs and in their room, Gandalf turned to the hobbits and spoke "Now then. We should all get some rest. Tomorrow will be a long day of travelling. Instead of squabbling over a bed you both can share one, Angel you will have one as well, and Sam can have the last one. Frodo and I will sleep on the floor."

"The floor? I'm not so sure of that!" Sam was unsure of that being such a good idea, but Angel had already gotten dibs on one of the first beds already. He just wasn't so sure of the idea of Frodo having to share the floor with Gandalf.
"I won't mind Sam." Frodo said. The others did look like they needed it more than him or the wizard.
"All right, it will have to do!" Sam mutters with a shrug and gets the other bed available. After the decision was made final, Frodo started setting up for bedtime on the floor to get himself comfort. Angel watch and decided to give away her pillow for him.
"Hey Baggins, think fast!" She says and quickly throws it over to Frodo, but it hit him straight on the head. "Ouch! What was that for?"
"For returning the favor!" Angel smiled warmly. Frodo didn't know what to say at first. First he had offer to share one fruit with her, and now she was sharing another thing back for him? "Your giving me your pillow?"
"You'll need your headrest." She added, not minding at all sleeping in a bed without the use of a pillow. After being away from home for so long, she got used to it. So Angel tucked herself in to get all warm and cozy. "Goodnight!" She spoke softly and went to sleep. Frodo return his smiled back at the sleeping princess he loved so dearly. "Goodnight...my dear Angel!" He whispers.

Though he told no one, Gandalf, had purposely made Frodo sleep near him on the floor if only to reassure the hobbit would actually sleep and more importantly to make sure the hobbit did not let his emotions get the better of him and do something he would soon regret. Not that Frodo was that stupid, of course, but emotions are strong things and tend to gain control of even the most sensible person so Gandalf would not take any chances.
He used his hooded cape and large hat, folding it down, to make a comfortable pillow and covered up with one of the rooms spare blankets sleeping with his eyes open out of habit.

After Gandalf made the decision for the two of who got to sleep on the beds or the floor, they both looked at each other and then shrugged. At least they got a chance to sleep in a bed instead of the uncomfortable floor. Climbing into one of the beds (Pippin first and then Merry), they got under the covers and adjusted it so that they each got enough of the blanket to sleep comfortably.
Once the two hobbits had settled in, Pippin said "Goodnight," in response to the other "Good nights" being spoken. Merry said "Goodnight..." and sneakily leaned down to where Frodo lay and whispered with a grin, "...Lover Boy." And he quickly got back under the covers to pretend like it didn't happen.
