My Dear Sweet Angel (Lord of the Rings rp)

As the celebration went on, it was soon followed by music and dancing. It was no surprise to everyone of course, not even for Emily, as she found herself joined into the fun dancing briefly with Pippin, Merry, Gandalf, Aragorn, and Gimli as the dance consisted of often switching partners. It was a dance she was very familiar with having growing up learning it as well as many others.

Her only surprise came from when she realized Gimli purposefully pulled Legolas into the dance who was rather unaccustomed to it but caught on quickly by watching and soon the two of them were partners.

Legolas had expected her to stop immediately but she didn't, she was lost to the rhythm of the music but when it stopped signally the end of the dance they did stare at each other for a moment before walking away from one another.

Neither of them said nothing nor shared a second glance as Legolas took the opportunity to join his dwarf companion in a drinking contest while Emily went to go sit with Arwen and Angel.

Angel was caught off guard a bit when Emily return back to her and Arwen. "Hmm? Oh hi Emily. Welcome back! I was uhh---oh never mind. How was the dance?" She asks, almost feeling a bit like she had lost track for just a moment.

"Huh? Oh it was fun. I haven't done one of those for awhile. You should try it sometime." She spoke trying not to sound distracted as she tried to convince herself in her mind that she felt nothing. She hated Legolas after all...didn't she?

"Perhaps you should ask Mr. Baggins to join in the fun?" Arwen suggested to Angel knowing if Sam couldn't do it, she most certainly could especially after witnessing the whole apple thing between them but not mentioning it.

"Me? Well I suppose I could." Angel said, trying not to be nervous about it.

As if the queen elf herself was thinking of the same idea, Sam suggested the same request over to Frodo. "The princess is coming! Ask her for a dance!" He said quickly as they saw Angel coming their way.

"What? No! Absolutely not!" Frodo refused. He gets up and tries to leave, but Sam stops him. "You got me dancing with Rosie at Bilbo's birthday, and you owe me one!" He tells him and immediately right away, gives his good friend a big old shove, pushing him in front of the princess.

Their faces close in as they stared into each other's eyes. "Uhh....hi!" Frodo begin awkwardly, looking away as he scratch the back of his head.

"Hi!" Angel greeted with return and offers her hand to him. "Care for a dance?"

"Go on!!" Sam whispers for encouragement. And just like that, the two partners begin to dance. None of them ever stop like they were the only only two dancing partners on Middle Earth. But all of it change when at the end of the tune, they pose in a strike with Angel dipped back in Frodo's arms.

A touch of romance sparkle into each other's faces. They were almost going to lean in for a kiss, but then one of Angel's gloves came loose, and Frodo accidentally drop Angel to the ground.

"AHHH!" She crashed down in a thud. Hoping to see if she was okay, he was going to give her his hand, then he saw the glove he had in his hand. The secret of Angel's curse had been revealed, and in front of everyone.

Publicly humiliated for the revealing of one of Angel's metal hands, Angel snatch the glove away from Frodo's hand and ran indoors. "Angel! Angel wait! Come back!!" Frodo called.

Merry and Pippin kept to their word with Sam in making sure Angel and Frodo didn't get any more silly ideas over anything until they joined the two at the fellowship, eavesdropping a little at what was being discussed. When Elrond and Gimli brought up the idea of a celebration, the two hobbits took a liking to it.

"A pre-journey celebration?" asked Merry before looking at Pippin. "Sounds good to us."

"Sure, I'm all for some more dancing and drinking before we really get going," Pippin nodded in agreement.

And so, the two later joined in on the celebration while laughing, dancing and drinking, having a merry good time just like back in the Shire. They especially had fun with their dancing with various partners, including Angel and Emily. But the celebration took an unexpected turn when Angel experienced a misfortune and quickly had to excuse herself out of embarrassment. Both Merry and Pippin had taken notice and stopped to see her run off.

"Oh, here we go again," said Pippin. He was about to see if he could catch up with her and offer her some support, but Merry placed a hand on his shoulder and said, "No, Pippin. Let her and Frodo figure this out on their own."

Realizing that Merry was right, Pippin decided to resume with the celebration with the other guests as though this didn't happen.

Emily had tried not to looked shocked as several of the others did when Angel's secret was revealed though she did have to admit to herself it was very clear now why the half wizard/hobbit wore gloves all the time and she certainly couldn't blame her. Everyone had their secrets, Emily herself being no different, but it seemed her poor friend Angel had one of the worst ones.

"Maybe I should go to talk to her" Emily offered standing up to follow Angel feeling bad for her friend but stopping when Gimli gently grabbed her wrist stopping her. "Let her go." He told her softly.

It was Aragorn next who made his way over to Frodo. "You should go and talk to her Frodo." He whispered to the hobbit offering his advice.

Frodo nodded as it was for the best to be the one to go talk to Angel since he felt it was partly his fault her secret had been blown out. He raced inside and begin looking for Angel. "Angel? Angel where are you?" He called.

He heard the sound of somebody crying and knew it had to be her. His guess was right when he finally found her sobbing.

"Angel?" He walked up slowly to her, but Angel did not moved and just kept on crying. Then spotting a blue light coming from her, Angel turned around and there he saw her metal hands glowing blue.

Remembering the emotions she talk about before how they show when glowing, he recall how the yellow light meant happiness. Though he had a pretty good idea what the blue light meant for. "Sadness?" He guessed.

Angel nodded as her response. "Angel, I'm so sorry." He replied, going to put a hand on her shoulder for comfort, but rudely she turned back. "Don't! Just....don't! She wiped the tears away from her eyes and put her gloves back on. "I'm going to bed." She said and leaves to head out to the bedrooms without another word left to say.

The very next morning the group left Gondor with supplies and weapons ready just in case they should encounter any form of trouble on the way for though the war with the One Ring was over many dangerous creatures still lurked about in the shadows from time to time.

They stopped around midday to give their horses a little bit of rest and to rest a little themselves since they had been travelling since dawn which had been several hours ago stopping in the small shaded clearing of the forest.

Taking the opportunity, Emily made her way over to Angel who had been silent since the events of last asking "Are you alright? You haven't said much since we left Gondor.."

"I'll be okay....when we get there." Angel said, looking down at her gloves she still wore. Truth was, she was not okay, and already she can tell the others knew after what they had witness that night. She gave the gloves a small tug to make sure they were snuggle in tight and secure.

"Have you given much thought as to what you'll do...when you go back I mean?" She asked taking the subtle hint that Angel didn't want to talk about the events of the night before.

"Merry. Pippin. Come with me. We're going hunting. Sam. Frodo. Refill the water canteens over near that stream but don't go wandering off." Aragorn told them as he swung a bow and quiver of arrows over his shoulder leading the way off and leaving Merry and Pippin to follow him.

Hunting certainly sounded like a good idea for the little hobbits. It would be good to have some extra food in supply for the whole group just in case. Going along with Aragorn by his side, Pippin asked him, "Anything we can do to assist you on this hunt, Aragorn?"

"Perhaps we can start off small and hunt for some coneys first," Merry suggested.

Pippin agreed and added, "Ah, yeah, then we can have some of that nice rabbit stew. I'd love that."

"Never thought anyone would ask me that!" Angel thought when the question about what will happened of when she returns to her homeland came to the girls' chat.

"There is only one thing left for me to do; I'll be the next one in line for the throne after my sister will be removed, but for the only way for me to be queen is to--" Angel stop mid way for her explanation. As far as laws go, marrying a prince will be the only key for her to go from princess to a queen. Though she will never admit it to anyone else, she did find the law to be stupid as it was not fair to be marrying someone who only was born from royalty.

Meanwhile, Sam and Frodo followed by Aragorn's suggesting request for fetching the water to refilled the canteens. "So have you try talking to Princess Angel?" Sam begin so they wouldn't have to remain quiet. "No Sam. I've try but she won't speak to me!" Frodo replied, still feeling upset that she would still be ignoring her or even not talk to anyone else for the remain of their trip.

"Marry a prince?" Emily guessed. "Such are the trifle matters of us princesses, eh? If you ask me I think they should forgo the whole thing altogether." Emily spoke.

"We'll hunt rabbits and maybe a small buck but do so you will need to be quiet." Aragorn told the hobbits before he began on showing the small hobbits how to make traps for the rabbits and the deer.

After waiting several moments to catch one, Aragorn gave the hobbits their own practice time with shooting the rabbits and the buck.

"Not bad for a first try though it will take practice until you get used to it." He told them with a small smile letting them carrying the rabbits while he carried the buck over his shoulder on their way back to camp.

"What do you mean US princesses?" Angel asks, being puzzled by that word Emily told her. It was then she discover she wasn't the only one with a secret at all. "Are you a...a princess?! Your a princess....are you? Like me!"

"That's right. No one knows but you though, I haven't told anyone before now." Emily told her.

She looked over in Legolas' direction who seemed to be keeping up his guard as he watched the surrounding landscape from where he stood on a large tree branch.

She wondered for a moment how far the elf could see but did not voice the question allowed asked Gandalf instead asked him "Legolas, what do you see?"

"Nothing but I sense something lurking nearby." Legolas called down to the wizard as he swiftly and gracefully climbed down from the tree.

Moments late soon revealed that Legolas' instincts were proven to be correct as arrows began being shot in their small campsite.

Legolas quickly moved pushing Gandalf out of the way of an approaching arrow before pulling out his own set of bow and arrows and began firing off into the woodland as Uruk-kai and goblins came racing out of their hiding spots firing arrows.

Hearing the sounds of battle not far off, Aragorn turned to Merry and Pippin. "The others are under attack! Hurry, back to the campsite!" he told the hobbits drawing out his sword and racing towards the campsite leaving the buck he had killed behind so it would not slow him down.

He arrived in the campsite just in time to join Legolas, Gandalf, Emily, and Gimli in battle doing their best to defend Angel, Frodo, and Sam from the attack.

He raced over to help assist them, slashing at a few goblins on the way.

"Angel! Look out!" Emily yelled rushing over to assist the half wizard half hobbit female blocking a blow from Uru-kai from striking Angel from behind. The force of the blow knocked the Uru-Kai backward where he went over the edge of the cliff face at the end of the clearing dragging Emily with him where she desperately clung to the edge.

"Emily!" Gimli was the first to notice and yell as he tried to fight his way over to her but to no avail.

Legolas was the only one who would be able to reach her quick enough as he raced over grabbing her hands and started to pull her up but had to stop as a Uru-Kai attacked him from behind.

As they struggled and fought on the edge, a goblin shot Legolas in the shoulder. The force from the blow caused him to cry out in pain before he shoved the Uru-Kai over the edge.

The Uru-Kai refused to go down without a fight however as he dragged Legolas and Emily down with him.

"Emily! Legolas!" Aragorn yelled rushing over to the edge and looking over it with Gimli after making the rest of the Goblins and Uru-Kai retreat.

"Do you see them?" Gimli asked Aragorn.

As he looked he saw nothing at all but he did not have the words to tell the dwarf. It was at least 150 foot drop down into the water below and Aragorn could see no sign that their companions had survived the fall.

"Come. We must keep moving before more goblins and uru-kai find us here." Gandalf spoke moving Aragorn and Gimli away from the edge. "There's nothing more we can do for them now."
