Angel gave into a blank stare when her eyes quickly change into the two colors of yellow and purple. It was one of her normal powers she had, but they only change when danger is coming. They quickly vanished before anyone had seen that. Much like Legolas' instincts, the senses had came true when they were under attack by the goblins and Uru-Kais.
Not a moment too soon, she was rejoined with the other hobbits the second the others started protecting them. But Angel knew she couldn't wait and sit around. She knew they needed back-up, but knew it would only work if she were going to take off the gloves.
"I have to help them!" But Sam was the first one to grabbed her back in. "Have you lost your mind? They'll killed you!" He told her. "May I remind you, I'm part wizard! I can take them!" She confirmed to the hobbit and gets loose away from his grip.
But just when she was about to go in, an Uru-Kai show up from behind. When Emily had shouted out to take cover, the princess ducked down as her friend came in and saved her. But there wasn't any time to give thanks as she saw Emily dangling from the edge.
Soon as her friend was now gone, along with Legolas, Angel grief by dropping down on her knees and cry. Frustrated by her loss, Angel took off her gloves and threw them down on the ground. No longer did she cared if the others had to see those metal hands of her, her emotion came all too greatly when they had glowed it's blue light of sadness.
Sam seem questionable why their enemies had retreat, but he wasn't going to sit around and find out. Frodo thought of the same thing too.
But then, danger came lurking again when Angel's eye coloring senses came back. Without getting up, she try to scanned where the next threat was coming from. A goblin who came by on his own started sneaking in for the kill. The closer one it got to was Frodo.
Suddenly, the blue light from Angel's metal hands change from blue to outraging red. As did her eyes too. "FRODO, BEHIND YOU!" Sam yelled at his friend. The sound of him shouting made Frodo turn around, but the hobbit fell back and he try to stumbling get away. Angel's power grew much more stronger when the glowing light from her hands now became white.
The half hobbit/half wizard lungs towards the goblin and fights him off. The creature did not stand a chance against her attacks. Finally, the foe drop down in defeat. "You will NOT kill again!!" She smack her glowing metal hand down on her opponent, thus in the result of killing him. She panted heavily out of breath, but the rest of the fellowship became impressed.
Even Sam was wow with surprise. "Incredible!" He said in awe. "Angel you were amazing!" Frodo says, getting up and walking up behind her, but that didn't stop there. Thinking it was another enemy, Angel was still in the feeding zone of revenge. She turns around fast and quickly pins Frodo down on the ground.
"ANGEL NO!!!" Frodo cried. The princess had her hand rise up and would of gone of destroy him, but she didn't so she came to a halt by the sound of Frodo's voice. "Angel, it's me! Frodo....please....you must remember me!" He pleaded though from the inside, he was scared but try his best to not show it. Angel's powers had faded and her eye color return back to normal. Much to her horror, she realized what she had almost did. She moved back, falling down on the side. "What have I done? I could of killed him! I'm a monster!" She thought sadly. Angel look down, but couldn't bare to see anyone else's reaction at the moment; she was much too upset.
Frodo got himself up. He couldn't blame the princess for what could of happened. It was the first time he seen her use any of her powers, though it was proven to him that she didn't control it too good after just witnessing it. It was her bottle of her emotions that overpower it. Seeing now again of the sad blue light coming from Angel's metal hands, Frodo try to reach in to touch it, but he pulled back, feeling a bit too uncertain if that was a good idea or not.
Instead he put his hand on her shoulder. "Angel..." Still in wrecking tears, Angel did not once get away from Frodo, nor say anything. Rather than doing one of the two, Angel went in for a hug. Frodo was shocked. He didn't think he would ever think he be getting another hug from her. But this time, he did not blushed or was overcome with embarrassment; he was shock that out of anyone, Angel turn to him for comfort. Though the blue light felt warm, Frodo could feel Angel's pain since she was at the mourning loss of her good Emily most of all.
For the first time ever, Frodo return the hug. "It's okay Angel, I'm here for you!" He spoke softly, stroking her hair with one hand while his other hand gently patted her back.

Aragorn and Gimli had been slightly surprised by the sight of Angel's powers and how easily she had lost control of them but said nothing. Like Angel they were much too upset over the loss of Emily and Legolas to do much speaking.
"Hard to believe the elf survived the war with the ring, all those battles not a scratch, and now we lose him to a couple of Uru-kai and Goblins.." Gimli was the first to mutter though it was so low that Aragorn, who stood next to the dwarf, had barely even heard it.
"When we've finished this quest, we will have time to mourn them properly but for now we should keep moving." Gandalf spoke leading the company away from their temporary campsite.
With Gandalf walking in front, Aragorn and Gimli took up the rear keeping Frodo, Angel, Sam, Merry, and Pippin in the middle of them to make sure they did not lag behind or worse run into trouble.
They made their way down hill and though Gandalf had cautioned them to keep moving, Aragorn stopped by the river bank picking up Legolas' broken bow, the only thing left of the elf and Gimli picked up a sliver crested lion shaped necklace that Emily had worn.
"After we finish our journey, I will set forth for Mirkwood, Legolas' father and people should know what happened and that Legolas shall never return to the woodland realm..." Aragorn spoke after putting the broken bow over his shoulder to carry it.
Gimli placed Emily's necklace in his pocket before angrily throwing a large rock into the river letting out a loud yell of anguish clearing mourning his elven friend and their new companion Emily.
"We should look for Emily's family as well..."Gimli muttered after taking a few moments to compose himself.
"You will not find them here. No. Emily was not from Middle Earth but another place entirely." Gandalf told them as they continued walking on with the others.

During their hunt, Merry and Pippin practiced catching the little rabbits with traps of their own and managed to catch a few for their stew. Walking back to the group with pride, they suddenly stopped upon hearing Aragorn speak about the remainder of the group being under attack.
"Under attack?" asked Pippin. He and Merry looked at each other, noticing each other's expressions of concerns on their faces. Immediately, they hurried back and discovered the Uru-kai and goblins having a battle with their companions. Initially seeking protection by remaining with Aragorn, they both didn't know what to do.
But then they remembered the fighting experience they had during the last major quest they were on. If they could join forces to help defend Minas Tirith and live, they could do the same here. Having the tools they made rabbit traps with as their only option for weapons, they gathered enough bravery and stepped out to attack the Uru-kai and goblins as best they could.
It wasn't long before they overheard Aragorn yell out for Legolas and Emily and ran up to the cliff to join him and Gimli.
Merry took a look down far below and gravely said, "Oh, no..."
"They're...they're gone," said Pippin, quite stunned.
But their time to grieve only lasted a brief moment, for when they turned around, they were surprised to see all of the nasty creatures hastily retreat in defeat. Even their eyes had caught sight of Angel using her own magic powers to defeat this one goblin that attacked out of nowhere.
"Do you see what I'm seeing, Merry?" asked Pippin.
"Oh, I do, Pippin," Merry answered while in awe. "I do, indeed."
When Angel was done, they ran up to her and Merry said, "Whoa, Angel, that was bloody amazing!"
"I guess those metal arms of yours really do come in handy," observed Pippin.
After everyone had departed together, the thoughts of losing Legolas and Emily began to cloud the little hobbits' thoughts.
"Oh, Merry, I can't believe they're gone," said Pippin, his voice breaking as though he were about to cry.
Merry consoled him with a pat on the back and said, "There, there, Pippin. They did all they could to save us. Legolas and Emily were our dear, dear friends, and we shall never forget them."
Pippin looked up at him and smiled a little, knowing that Merry was right.

The glowing blue light from Angel's metal hands vanished instantly when Pippin and Merry joined her and Frodo by their side. The two of them released each other from the hug and Angel wiped her tears off. "Thank you!" She said first to Merry and replied over to Pippin. "They do!"
"You've proven worthy." Sam said, joining them next. He had gone to pick up the gloves Angel had left behind. So he handed them back to her. "Here, you'll want these back!" He said. Angel nodded with agreement and took the gloves, putting them back on.
Frodo help her up and the rest of them and follow on with their friends. Sam, Frodo and Angel were the only one who remained quiet the whole time as they listen to the others speaking over their terrible and tragic loss of Emily and Legolas.
The princess watched sadly as Gimli took out his anger on the river with his anguish cries. It was no surprised shock that dwarfs were known to get furious pretty easily if tempted, but the half hobbit/half wizard knew how it felt. For she would of done the same, but couldn't find it in her to take it out. Her magical powers would of become too strong to control if her emotions were too high.
But what did made Angel surprise however was when she overheard Gandalf saying that Emily was not from Middle Earth like her or the rest of the group. She had just barely learn that she was a princess much like her, but was not born and raise in Middle Earth? The princess was unsure why she didn't tell her that part sooner.
"If not from Middle-Earth, then where?" Frodo asked the wizard, taking up the question for a change.

"A large country outside Middle Earth, almost like another world entirely. I've only been there once myself but it is a great place, one that would even rival that of Gondor's splendor. It is a shame Legolas never knew himself if he did, I'm sure he would've wanted to see it for there humans are very few and live among dwarves, halflings, and animals. That crest she wore was a reminder of her home and great and mighty ruler." Gandalf told Frodo.
"Dwarves? Halflings? And animals?" Gimli asked taking out of his brooding thoughts by Gandalf talking to Frodo.
"Yes. Though the halflings are not hobbits or half wizards half hobbits like we have here. No the halfings refer to more of the creatures of old that have fallen only into myth here. Centaurs, Minotaurs, Fauns, and Satyrs." Gandalf replied.
Aragorn was the only one who didn't speak though it was clear as he and Gimli followed behind at the back of the group that he too was listening to the conversation.
They continued walking til sunset stopping only to make camp and taking shelter in a small cave to keep out of the rain that had recently started. It was a freezing rain indicating that the season of fall was soon drawing to an end and winter was soon to come.
OOC: Did you guys figure out where Emily was from yet? XD

OOC: If I had to take a wild guess, I was gonna say Greece because centaurs remind me of Hercules. But it's Narnia isn't it? BIC: "Where there's rain and hail, there's ice and snow." Angel thought knowing too well what the freezing rain was for. Her prediction came true over by the next morning, the outside was over in snow. "Just as I imagine." She mumbles to herself, stepping out of the small cave. The last time it snowed back home was when she was little girl, but now with the metal arms and metal hands that she had, she had to wonder; what could be the cause of it if it touches snow? Angel decided to give it a try. The princess kneel down and remove one glove off, putting it away in her picket and giving the touching of the snow a little test. She did not felt any coldness on it. Meanwhile, Frodo was the next one who woke up and spotted Angel outside of the cave, experimenting with the snow. The hobbit gave himself a sneaky but playful grin as he creep out. Quietly, he picked up some snow and formed it into a snowball. Without turning around, Angel can sensed Frodo was coming in for a sneak attack. Grinning to herself, she knew she wouldn't be able to make a snowball too quick, so she scoop up some snow in her metal arm, and just when the hobbit look like he was make his move for sure, the princess beat him to it first. "YAH!" She flicked the snow really fast at Frodo's face, causing him to lose his balance and fall down on his back. "AAAH! Angel!" He frowned as he wiped off the flicks of snow away from him. She couldn't help but chuckled. "One lesson you must learn Frodo Baggins, is never sneak up behind a halfling!" She says. But Frodo wasn't going to give up so easily. "Really? How about now?" He replies, and threw some snow back at her. She squealed and makes a run for it as the hobbit chases after her. He pick up enough snow to make another snowball and caught up to the princess, yanking the back of her cloak and tossing the snowball inside and pulls down the hood on her, but his weight on her made the two of them tumble down a small snowy hill. They landed fast on the bottom right next to each other, laughing in joy. Angel sighed with a lovingly gaze on her face, but Frodo didn't quite catch that reaction too well. "What are you looking at?" He asks. "Hmm? Oh nothing!" She responded, trying to shake whatever thought was coming to her. She had no idea why she just gave Frodo that look. She and the hobbit were just friends, weren't they? Though thinking back, Angel recall what Emily told her; about how much Frodo really liked her. Even if it was just a hint, she only thought Frodo just like her as a friend. But what if there was more to the signs she had been missing? Angel reach over for the glove that fell off and puts it back on. "We should return to the others before a search party is given!" She said to him. The two of them begin to try hiking up the fell, but the princess accidentally fell down. "Oof!" She grunted. Had the snow gotten more deeper for her? "Here, let me help you up!" Frodo offer by standing from behind her and giving her a little push. They return back in no time when Sam begin looking for them. "Where did you two run off to?" He asked them. "Nowhere Sam. Just having a bit a fun." Frodo answered. Sam arched a raising eyebrow at his friend very suspiciously at him. "What kind of fun? Gandalf's going to be upset if he finds out you were alone with the princess." "What could possibly happened?" Frodo asks his buddy, not seeing the big deal about having a fun snowball fight with Angel.

"There you two are. Honestly Frodo this is no time to go gallivanting off for a frolic in the snow, if that's indeed what you were doing and not something much worse." Gandalf spoke after following Sam out. As the hobbit predicted he didn't seem to pleased about Frodo and Angel sneaking off to have a few moments of fun without telling anyone.
"Leave them be Gandalf. A little fun in the snow never hurt anyone however I would not advise running off again without telling anyone either, we don't want another attack like yesterday to happen where we're completely exposed to anyone who might be watching either." Aragorn spoke as Gimli grumbling followed out after him dragging himself through the snow.
"We'll make for higher ground and towards the country roads, there it will be easier passage and since I know you will ask Perrigan Took, we will find a tavern there for food and drink." Gandalf added.
"Legolas do a quick-" Aragorn started to say but stopped himself when he suddenly remembered the elf was no longer with them. "Sam, Merry, do a quick scout around the area but don't go far." He quickly corrected though there was a small hint of remorse on his face that he tried to hide but failed.

Angel didn't see why she had to be dragged into the blame as much as Frodo was. "There's no harm in a little snowball fight Gandalf!" She replied to the wizard. And indeed it was the truth.
Sam nodded and took Merry with him to do as what Aragorn told them to do for the scouting around.

OOC: Yep. Emily is from Narnia. I chose Narnia because Tolkien (LOTR writer) and C.S. Lewis (Narnia writer) were best friends and wrote their books together believe it or not so it was only natural to make her from what I like to call Middle Earth's other world lol XD
BIC: "I'd say it was more of a snow war since you both are covered in the white stuff." Gimli commented with a bit of a smile trying to make Aragorn smile as well but failed as the king simply turned towards Sam and Merry's direction and asked "See anything?"

OOC: Best friends huh? Yeah that would make much more sense.
BIC: Frodo and Angel look at each other noticing they were still being cover in a bit of snow as Gimli had pointed out, so they simply just brushed it off.
"What do you suppose he meant by much worst?" Angel asks Frodo after she was done wiping off the mess from her clothing. Frodo stop what he was doing, and try to think it over, but made a face when he begin to think of what it was. He shook that mental image out of his mind. "I rather not think about it." He replied.
"Hmm? Ohh...OHH you mean--oh dear no!" Angel says, trying to get the idea out of her head too.
"No, not yet..." Sam replied, still scouting. "Wait, I think I see something. Not sure what it is!" He tells Aragorn.

Overhearing Angel and Frodo, Gimli couldn't help but laugh a little to himself as Gandalf and Aragorn headed over to Sam and Merry to see what the two hobbits had spotted.
"It's a pack of Draugluin. Get down before they see you." Gandalf spoke recognizing the large creatures immediately pulling Sam, Merry, and Aragorn away from being seen.
"Draugluin?" Aragorn asked.
"It's Sindarin elvish for the blue wolf. They are very dangerous and hunt in large packs the separate looking for food." Gandalf spoke.
"What do they eat?" Aragorn asked.
"Elves and Goblins mostly but they are not above hunting men, dwarf, or hobbit for that matter." The wizard cautioned.

"We have to get out of here!" Angel cautioned the rest. "But how?" Frodo asks. The princess try viewing around. If they went back inside of the cave to hide, eventually the draugluin might smell their scent from inside and could possibly attack.
"If we try going uphill, there must be a way!" Angel replies. She begin first by hiking up, but with the snow being too much for her to climb on her own, she trip and started rolling down on the way to where one of the draugluin was.
"ANGEL!!" Frodo screams. Angel fell on the snowy ground in an instant and this cause the single draugluin to come right towards her. So without a wait, Frodo headed on over to the princess' rescue.
"MR. FRODO, NO!!" Sam cried. Angel look up and gasped, crawling back away but the draugluin had her surrounded and pins her down before she can even try to get up. But the creature did not attack. Suddenly, Angel's eyes changed into a silver color as she stare deeply into the face of the werewolf.
"GET BACK!!" Frodo shouts, throwing snowballs at the animal, just enough to knock it back away from the princess. Angel closed her eyes fast and shook her off her unknown new power she had developed. Finally snapping out of what appear to be trance, she had no time to do anything, but Frodo hurried on over to her, takes her arm and pulls back up on her feet. "COME ON!!" He cries. With no time to waste, Frodo and Angel hurried on back to the rest of the gang but not too long when the rest of the other pack heard Frodo's yelling and started following after them.

"Back foul beasts! Go back to the dark underground where you belong!" Gandalf yelled striking one wolf across the jaw with his staff knocking it backward while Gimli kicked another in the chest.
"Take that, you mangy beast!" Gimli spoke as he kicked it backward into another wolf knocking them both backward. "Shall we play the old game, elf?" He asked over his shoulder forgetting for a moment that Legolas was not among their company anymore but having no time to react to it as he was soon pinned down by a large wolf.
Taking out a arrow and shooting it, Aragorn managed to knock the wolf off Gimli but had merely wounded it when the blow should've killed it. It turned to face Aragorn, lifting its lips up to a snarl.
"There's too many! Retreat!" Gandalf ordered as he knocked two more wolves away and four more replaced them. It looked as if the whole pack was after them tempted by the easy prey of hobbits but Gandalf knew otherwise that there were more somewhere though he sincerely hoped it wasn't that they were lurking in wait for them somewhere nearby.
"Come on Gimli!" Gandalf called as he rushed up to join the hobbits leading them up hill with Aragorn and Gimli following close behind.
Because it was hard for the hobbit's to move fast in the deep snow up hill Gandalf, Gimli, and Aragorn had no choice but to carry them.
What they hadn't counted on was while carrying Angel and Frodo, Aragorn was attacked by a wolf it pounced on him causing him to drop the two hobbits as he and wolf rolled down hill.
"Aragorn!" Gimli yelled watching as Aragorn was forced to fight the wolves surrounding him while the others continued to persue the others.
Once they were high enough out of reach, Gandalf shouted a spell causing the earth to temporairly shake to scare the wolves off for now before he and Gimli rushed down to Aragorn who was lying still on the ground.
"Is he-?" Gimli asked afraid to finish the sentence not sure he could bare the thought of not just losing Legolas but Aragorn as well.
"No but we need to get to shelter and give him treatment." Gandalf spoke as he picked up unconscious Aragorn whose leg was bleeding badly and led the way back up to the hobbits with Gimli following close behind.

With Aragorn's leg wounded, it was going to be a slow move for everyone else. Eventually, with the wolves gone now thanks to Gandalf's magic spell, they finally found a new spot to rest. Everybody was very much out of breath.
"Did we lost sight of them?" Sam asks after they all escape. "I think so." Frodo replies. Angel flopped down on the ground, panting heavily. "I'm glad....it's over!" She said, finally catching her breath. "Thank you Frodo, you save my life!" She tells him.
Frodo overlook with a big surprise. Instead of referring to him by the last name she always went by, she used his first name. "You called me Frodo."
"Yeah! And?" Angel says, not really getting it. "But you always call me Baggins." Frodo mention to her. "Yes, and now I have a change of heart, so thank you." She thanked him again. "Your welcome!" Frodo replies, smiling.
"What happened back there with you?" Sam asked the princess, changing the topic. Clearly when Gandalf said the wolves only feed on elves and goblins, they thought they had lost Angel for good, but still found it very strange why the one wolf didn't killed Angel.
"I don't know." Angel begin seriously. "I should of been able to sense them when they came, but I did not." It was highly unusual for that to happened. Perhaps, her powers were not too keen on being familiar with wolves as a new threat to her magic. "But I believe our elf companion is not dead!" She added.
"Not dead? How do you know?" Frodo asks. "I look into the wolf's eyes! No, I look into his thoughts!" Angel answered.

"Dead?! Legolas isn't dead? Are you sure? The wolf told you this?" Gimli spoke immediately questioning angel at the mention of his companion while Gandalf set to work to taking care of unconscious Aragorn's wounded leg.
