so, we all love a lot of disney's theatrical releases. They do a lot of good stuff. From princess flicks, to pirates, to sorcerers, to an upcoming movie about the story of a real-life racing horse.
My question to you is, what kind of story would you like to see Disney put on the big, silver screen? Would it be animation or live-action, what?
Me, personally, I would love to see them do more Halloween-related movies. I LOVE the disney channel's original halloween movies, and many of them (like mom's got a date with a vampire, and the scream team), have a lot of potential.
I really wish Disney would make a live-action flick for Halloween. Hocus Pocus and the Haunted Mansion have been in theaters, but the latter had a little too much comedy for my taste. Hocus pocus was awesome, however..
So I'd want a halloween movie from disney. Live-action, released somewhere in october around the actual holiday. I'd want it to be as scary and serious as a Disney movie can get, which means pg-13 basically, lol..
As for what it would be about, hrm.....Vampires, ghosts, werewolves, the headless horseman, something appropriate for the season. <3

That's a very interesting choice you pick out Shauni. ^^
Hmmm...well the only thing I could think of as a request from Disney is by making a princess movie about a mexican woman. Course it has to be in 2D animation (if they try!) Why do I say this? Well because Disney has had their fall line of every single princess, which most of them are white, but Tiana was the first black princess we ever had in an decade, and I wouldn't be too shock if they could get their next future princess from a different race.
Cause looking back, Mulan (which for some odd reason I will never get WHY they made her into a princess) is the type of princess that chinese/japanese girls can look up to. And of course you got Ariel for the the red-heads! Jasmine and Snow White for the brunettes, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty for the blonds, and Belle for the uhh...girls who with brown hair. (Does that even count?)
So I think for Tiana who is still Disney's newest Princess (just until Rapunzel will take down the crown by November later this fall) sends a good message that you don't have to be white or have a different hair color in order to have little girls look up to you. And the reason why I chose a mexican princess is because I come from a family of mexican-americans, so you'd see why I made such a big choice on that! ^^

Interesting question Shauni.
Me personally I know I wanna go see the new pirates film, tangled, and the sorceror's apprentice which will be in theaters soon but as far as a film being made to put on the big screen I'm not sure I really have an answer for that.
I suppose I should say a 2D animated film. I loved Princess and the frog and I think Disney should keep trying to go back to their original style. Yes I love the Pixar films and I loved Bolt and all that but I still miss Disney as it used to be.
I guess an animated wolf film would be nice to see since those poor creatures get so little credit to themselves or a tiger film since they are also posed badly by the media.
A mexican princess film sounds interesting as well too though.

ooh, that's an interesting thought there Nadine. And I agree with you. It would be cool to have a mexican princess, or even heroine. There are plenty of very interesting stories and lore from Mexico, so why not? :3 I would love to see a mexican princess or heroine, to help bring more diversity to the disney cast!
And I am right there with you katie. 100%. the computer animation films are nice too, but I like traditional/2d a little better. I wish Disney would do more traditional animation. And I would also love to see a movie about wolves. <3 I love them so! I know alpha and omega is coming out, but I want to see disney do a movie without nasty wolves too. Most, if not all, wolves in disney media have been evil/nasty, haven't they?

Yeah wolves have a terrible image in the media including in disney movies like Beauty and the Beast for example.
I am excited to see Alpha and Omega but a disney movie with wolves would be great too.

Mhmm, too true. And there are several good wolf stories out there, I wish they would use them. Well, maybe someday they will, if we keep our fingers crossed! -crosses them tightly-

I'd want it to be as scary and serious as a Disney movie can get, which means pg-13 basically, lol.. You might be in luck, Shauni! Just awhile back I heard that they were going to make a remake of the Haunted Mansion movie, and it's going to be directed by Guillermo del Toro, the director of Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth, so his movies aren't exactly comedies, though I've watched both films and enjoyed them, so the movie should be good in hands if that's what you're looking for. As for what I would I'd like to see next, I'm really not for sure. I'm looking forward to the Haunted Mansion remake, of course, though, like most Disney fans, I would like to see more traditional animated films. I grew up with that stuff and I would like to see it make a big comeback so that a new generation can experience it.

Yeah I heard about this too before Nightworm brought it up. There's no telling how scary and less kid-friendly the remake is gonna turn out.

I know Disney sequels usually don't come out favorably, but if done right, I'd like to see a sequel to "The Three Caballeros" where we get to explore more cultural stuff, like capoiera in Brazil, Day of the Dead in Mexico, and Actual Mexicans and Brazilians playing Mexicans and Brazilians (cause seriously, it was so obvious in the first movie that those were Caucasian Americans with bad tannin make-up).

I think that would be pretty interesting to see as well though I admit that this is actually the first time I ever heard of it getting a sequel or someone bringing it up that there should be one

Here's two ideas I have:
1. Have a fairytale movie set in Italy during the Renaissance done in the same computerized style of Tangled.
2. Make their own adaptation of "The Phantom of the Opera" inspired losely on the art style of Beauty and the Beast and Hunchback of Notre Dame.

I think the first idea would sound pretty interesting but as opposed to the second one phantom of the opera isn't really my thing

I would like to see a movie based on the Japanese fairytale of Princess Kaguya (you know, the Moon Princess that was found inside of a bamboo trunk)?
