Short quick rant about this, but does anyone feel a little annoyed with Disney makes some of the same re-releases on their old movies?
I've began to notice that almost all of them had gotten their DVD releases which is true, but now slowly some of them are picking up a Blu-Ray releases. Why do we need that for? I think it's okay, but it doesn't feel okay to me that if you're gonna be putting a old old Disney movie on Blu-Ray, that it's gonna be coming with a DVD copy.
Much of all the DVD users already have an little old copy of it before when DVDs were popular, and tell me WHY do we need that again? For example, notice how Alice in Wonderland (the older version) got re-released on DVD this year because the newer version was so popular. Now, next year for it's 60th anniversary edition, they're putting it on Blu-Ray? Oh god, come on! We don't need another extra repeat of the same movie if we have to wait again next year.
If you're a Blu-Ray user like me, that's fine, but if you already have the DVD they put out before during the mid early of the 2000s, then you don't need it! It's like buying the same copy before, just not in the same format.

I rant about this too from time to time because I can see if it's like the movie has only been on vhs and they want to release it on dvd and blu-ray for the very first time, I usually have no problem with that since I am trying to replace all my really old vhs' with dvds anyway but when the movie just came out on dvd 5 years ago and they are releasing it again I find it stupid and not going to buy it since I don't need it, you know?

Yeah, I see what you guys mean. I'm really upest about how Disney released the Beauty and and the Beast DVD/Blue-ray combo pack first before they released the DVD. It made me so mad because I don't have a Blue-ray player so I'm not paying extra for the combo pack and now I have to wait almost two whole months before I can get just the DVD version. What's up with that? Why can't they just release the DVD version on the same day that the combo pack comes out? I think they did the same thing with Snow White when it came out on the Diamond Edition and it made me so angry!

Yeah I thought that was lame too since I don't have a blu-ray player myself and my guess is that they were doing it to make more money.

I'm starting to wonder if they're doing this not only for the money, but for Blu-Ray users everywhere. Some people still use DVDs. It's not like they could really try to afford a Blu-Ray player.
I know I can't. That's why I got a Playstation 3.
