I know our friend Meg is a fan of the show, but who else likes it? Also, who's excited about the "Legend of Korra" spin-off?

It's getting a spin-off?! I didn't hear about that. Well since you're mentioning about the show, I was never really into it. I saw some clips here and there when it used to be on Nickeloden, but I never watch it wholely. I'm still surprised that the series was lucky to capture it's own live-action film, but I heard that it was the summer's worst movie ever!

The show's gotten a bit of a cult-following to it, so its kinda not surprising that it would get its own movie... too bad it sucked though (most fans of the show didn't even like the movie, so its that bad).

I Hope the Spin off is good. I love the Avatar. Unsure about this the spin off. Like they say can't judge book by cover. Hopefully the spin off is good.

I loved ATLA, but hate the way it ended. And I am not a big fan of the katara/aang shipping. I personally prefer zuko/katara.

Yay! Aang is too childish for my tastes. When is the new spin off supposed to hit the airwaves?

I was never really a huge fan of the show though I did watch it with my brother and sister every weekend since it wasn't horrible at the same time either.
I hated the movie though. It was awful. Even my dad thought so and he never even watched the cartoon series. I'm not really liking the idea of the spin-off either but who knows?

I think my dad is the only person on earth who liked the movie version and he has it on Bluray! Obviously he hasn't seen the cartoon TV series before from what I know of.

That's actually not so uncommon. I've actually met a couple of people who liked the movie and they're usually the ones who have never actually seen the original show (I surround myself with a lot of pitiful people, I know). In fact, according to Rotten Tomatoes, the average movie goer who went to see it and actually liked it is about 42% as opposed to top critics who rated it 6%.

I dont think the movie followed the show well. The characters were so out of character. The plot was too choppy and quickly down... Suki wasnt even in it. She should have been.. I know they couldnt add everything. but they could have done way better. I was very dispointed when I saw it. I was so exicted to see it but was dispointed to see how poorly the movie was done. I wont be surpised if they dont do book two or three. If they do I hope maybe they wil be way better
For the spin off, Im unsure about it. But I will check it out when comes on.

You know, when the movie was first being put together, Michael Bay was one of the directors Paramount was thinking of hiring for it. I wonder what that would've been like? Sure, there might be the same old missed cast racebending as before and even if they showed the Kyoshi Warriors, they wound be fighting in Brazilian bikinis, but at least you would get more action and even if it turns out bad, at least you'd have something to laugh at.
