Into the Forbidden Forest (A Quest for Camelot RP)

Ayden nodded his head letting out a chirp sound of agreement surprised and relieved Garrett had managed to guess his name right.

The bird seemed to like his new name as it chirped happily. Garrett smiled, scratching it on the head.

"Well then Ayden, lets head off and find a nice place to make camp."

Ayden then let out a couple of chirps as if telling Garrett to stay where he was while he went to get a birds eye view of the land to hopefully have better luck to find a place for them to camp before shortly taking off into flight flying off high into the air.

Garrett heard Ayden screech as he got off his shoulder and flew off into; he must the know the way. So Garrett decided to follow the bird's calls so he'd know where to head off to.

As soon as Ayden was high enough into the air he was able to get a much better layout of the forest than he could when back on the ground with Garrett.

He didn't fly too high however so to completely lose sight of Garrett for the fear that he may accidently walk into a bitter creature or one of the forests monsters attempted to attack and eat him again.

Not too far off he could see what looked like to be a cave letting out a loud cry for Garrett to follow he flew towards it to get a better look leaving Garrett to follow him on the ground

Garrett heard Ayden cry out to him; he must've found a place to stay. Garrett followed Ayden's sound until his staff tapped loudly as if it were going up against a stone floor. The air was quite cool and Garrett leaned his hand against what appeared to be a wall made out of stone; it was a cave.

"Nice place you've found, Ayden. Once we set up camp, it'll be perfect for us to sleep at night."

Ayden let out a few soft sounded chirps of agreement after flying down into the cool cave with Garrett.

Garrett started to set up the place so the two of them could rest a bit. He sat down against the cave wall and offered Ayden some food he had in his pocket.

"Here. I brought food with me when I left home, but you can have some."

Ayden let out a few pleased chirping sounds before eating the food out of Garrett's hand trying hard not to cut his hand with his sharp beak as he did so.

Garrett smiled pleasingly as Ayden took the food from his hand.

"I'll need to get us some more food once we run out. I don't know what's edible in this forest and I'm a little afraid of using fire, but I'm sure I can manage to live off this place."

Ayden nodded. He as well the provisions Garrett had with him now would not last long and they would soon need to get more so he decided he would take it upon himself to show Garrett around and teach him what he could and could not eat starting in the morning as it would be late soon.

Garrett yawned. It was best they get some rest soon, so Garrett decided to crawl into the makeshift bed he made.

"Good night, Ayden. Get some good night's sleep."

Ayden let out a soft chirp sound as if he were saying Good Night to Garrett as well deciding he would stay up a while longer to keep a close eye and make sure nothing happened since the Forbidden Forest was far more dangerous in the dark than it was during the day.

Garrett awoke the next morning, luckily, less achey when he first slept out in the woods.

Ayden awoke a couple hours before Garrett taking the time to swipe himself some breakfast before finding some for Garrett flying back into the cave with a friendly cry to announce his arrival before gently depositing the food at Garrett's side.
