I thought I would make a thread about this show since it was done by ABC, which is a branch of Disney, I think, and I just thought that you guys would be interested in it. The show's based on a series of books called the Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind. I read the series in school and I really enjoyed it. When I heard that there was a show based on the books I had to check it out when it first came on. I missed the first episode, unfortunately, so I had to get the show on DVD awhile back and I really enjoyed it. My favorite character from the series is Zedd. I thought Bruce Spence played him very well in the show. I just don't know why Goodkind is against Fanfiction. If you read Robert's Jordan's Wheel of Time series, and then you read the Sword of Truth, you can see that Goodkind ripped Jordan off. In a sense that would make his books Fanfiction if you think about it. I also think it makes Goodkind a hypocrite. Besides that, I really love the books and the TV show and I wished they hadn't canceled it!

Yay! Another Legend of the Seeker Fan!  I have not read the books though everyone in my family keeps telling me over and over I should lol  I am a huge fan of the tv series though. I saw it for the first time last year while looking for something new to watch that was still close to my interest range. I own Season 1 and 2 on dvd and managed to get my mom and sister into the show as well. I am horribly disappointed that ABC cancelled the show as I loved it so much. My favorite characters are Richard, Zedd, Kahlan, Flynn, and Cara. |

Whoa, that's cool that your family's into the books! I think you would like them, too. They get pretty violent like the show does at times, but they're pretty good. I saw on the Internet ahwile back that Goodkind is coming out with another Rhichard and Kahlan novel called the Omen Machine and I heard it's coming out pretty soon so I'm looking foreward to reading it. I kind of thought that you might be interested in the series, though, because I knew you liked Merlin, Chronicles of Narnia, and Eragon. I just had to tell you about it because everytime I read the books or the TV show I thought of you, so I'm glad you like the show!
