For those of you who grew up between the late 80s all the way down to the end of the 90s, I think we all know who Don Bluth is. If you haven't heard the name before, I recommend that you look him up.
Once a very under-appreciated guy who loved making and directing animated movies but also delivered very dark and twisted turns in his films, Don Bluth was the man! In fact, I think he was the most legend for us all.
And now that most of his movies are available to watch instantly on Netflix (if you have an account there like me and Katie do.) I want to know (because I'm very interested) which of his films (it doesn't have to be just one) did you recall loving the most when you were a child.
My top favorites are The Land Before Time, All Dogs go to Heaven, The Pebble and the Penguin and Anastasia. An American Tail and Rock-A-Doodle were pretty good too, but I thought Thumbelina was his weirdest one ever (maybe because of all of the critters he put in and their off-key dancing and singing lol).
The only ones I have NOT seen yet were The Secret of NIMH (I've only seen the sequel, but I am aware how super dark the original one is.), A Troll in Central Park (I never heard of this one before, but I did heard it was really bad!) and Titan A.E. (the last movie Don Bluth has ever made.)
But if anyone ask why I didn't list down Bartok the Magnificent (Yes I do know that was the only direct-to-video movie he's ever work on) or the crazy list of 13 sequels of The Land Before Time and All Dogs go to Heaven 2, is because I only wanted to discuss the original movies because he didn't work for the sequels expect for Bartok (which was more of a spin-off prequel that took place before he met Rasputin and he became his henchman.)
