Rocko didn't hear what Hubie whispered to Spotty but if he had he would've nodded his head and grin with pride.

The rest of that full day had been rough between Spotty and Rocko and it was wearing out poor Hubie too much. It didn't seem so hard when he try getting to admit Rocko that he liked him too well to called him his friend back then when they try to get back to Antarctica, but Spotty was not anything like Hubie. As for being a leopard seal, it was gonna take a while before he can get both of his friends to learn how to accept each other's differences.
That night, Hubie and Spotty sat closely to each other alone gazing up at the lovely sights of the northern lights. "Ahh! Isn't it beautiful Spotty?" He asks, and the seal barked as his agreeing way to show that he thought the same way too and nodded. It was beautiful sight, but Hubie still can't let go of his upsetting feeling as he toss up the pebble in his flipper and caught it. The upsetting feeling of learning to let go and move on about Marina and the other penguins' mysterious disappearance. As much as he badly hoped to find them again, he wasn't so sure of himself to convince if they were alive or dead.
Spotty whimpers in a small little crying whine and nudges Hubie to snap the penguin out of his thoughts. "Ohhh I'm not mad at you Spotty." He tells him as he lightly pats him on the head. "I'm just...thinking." He frowned. His distraction was put back onto the pebble. "If Marina's still out there, send me a sign." He prayed. But it seem like nothing was going to be effecting the pebble's magic powers anytime sooner.

Rocko hadn't said anything as he lied down on his back staring up at the northern lights. They weren't all that impressive to him as they were to Hubie and Spotty but they weren't terrible to look at either.

Hubie leaned his back down on Spotty's bulb of fat as he try to make himself warm with comfort. The seal made a sound that sounded like he would be curiously interested for the penguin to do something for him to put him to sleep. Already telling from the his pet's face, Hubie sang him a little soft short song. Listening to the song fast, Spotty made a loud yawn and snuggled himself in to sleep. Now Hubie was getting sleepy next, so he joined in closer to the seal and closed his eyes resting in into a very deep sleep.

Rocko shook his head at the scene of Hubie and Spotty becoming so close and falling asleep together.
'Hubie must be out of his mind..' He thought to himself.

That next day in the morning, Hubie awoken alone with a yawn, but to his horror shock, Spotty was gone and so was his pebble. "Oh no!" He thought. "ROCKO!!!" He yelled getting up fast on his webbed feet and runs around looking for his buddy. "ROCKO! Spotty's--" He shouts, but he stops to a hurried halt to find the seal bugging the poor rockhopper with the pebble in his nose. Spotty flings the pebble up and catches it in his mouth, barking at Rocko. "--gone?!!? What's he--HAHA!" Hubie couldn't help but break down into laughter, seeing what Spotty was trying to do in getting Rocko's annoyed attention.

"No I don't wanna play why don't you go play with Hubie over there?" Rocko says trying to ignore the seal and go back to sleep.

Spotty budges Rocko with his flipper, trying to poke him awake, but he stop and throws the pebble at him, clocking him right on the head.

"Ouch!" Rocko yelled sitting up right away after being hit in the head by the pebble.

Spotty laughs chidlishy and flaps his flippers happily like the seal that he was.

"Ha ha ha very funny." Rocko says sarcastically as he rubbed the sore spot on his head with one of his fins.

"Arf arf!!" Spotty barked, waiting for Rocko to bring the pebble back to him for a toss.

"You want the pebble back do ya? Well.." He stopped to pick up where he landed. "Fetch!" He yelled before throwing the pebble off as far as he could.

Spotty smiles and with that quick instant in him, runs after where the pebble had landed. He almost ran over Hubie, but the penguin ducked and cover from the heavy seal and watch as he was going to retieve it. "Wow! I didn't know you had a g-g-good throwing arm." He told Rocko.

Rocko couldn't help but grin at the compliment he had been given. "Yeah well haven't used it for awhile but I must admit I am a bit glad to see it's still in good shape."
