Hubie sat next to Rocko and took a steady good look at the distance with his flipper above his eyes to see how long Spotty may be to fetch his pebble back.

'I threw that pebble so far it'll take ages for that seal to fetch and bring it back.' Rocko thought happily to himself with a smile forming on his face.

"Huh! I guess Spotty will have to uhh--" Hubie drops his flipper down and turns, but he stop seeing how confused he was to be seeing Rocko smiling. It wasn't very often Rocko will be looking happy about something. "Why are you smiling? Is something funny? Are you thinking of a joke?" He asks.

Rocko's smiled quickly faded as he turned to face Hubie. "No I told you, I don't find jokes funny." He says.

"Oh then you learn how to get along with Spotty right?" Hubie says still trying to figure out what has gotten Rocko so happy.

Rocko of course knew Hubie was too dumb to realize what made him so happy was that he had managed to get rid of the pestering seal, Spotty, for awhile so he just replied "Yeah..something like that.."

"I knew it!" Hubie brightly beam his smile. He looked back at the horizon, still waiting for Spotty to come back with his pebble. "Boy he sure is taking a while isn't he?" But before Rocko had his chance to answer, Hubie gasped. "WAIT A SECOND!" Finally, the dumb penguin knew WHY Rocko had his upcoming reason for smiling Spotty and the pebble were gone. "Rocko, did you--" He blabbers asking, but couldn't really finish what he was going to say.

"Did I what?" Rocko asks pretending to not know what Hubie was talking about though he was sure that his friend was finally beginning to figure it out.

"YOU LOST MY PEBBLE AND OUR PET?!!?!?" Hubie yells in a panicky tone without realizing he said Spotty was their pet rather than his.

"I...err...." Embarassly stutter, Hubie couldn't really make up his mind how to tell it into words for Rocko to be sure that he'll understand him. But the penguin did knew that his own rightful and caring trusted heart, he couldn't take care of Spotty on his own. And that he needed a right-hand wingman to help care for the baby seal, but how do you admit to a stubborn penguin like Rocko to know that he was looked up to the little leopard creature as his caretaker?
