"How could I say no, Carrots?" Nick told her with a small smile before turning to Renton and added, "Actually I have a better idea. Follow me."

A better idea? the deer wondered to himself. What could be better than driving to a gas station to get a tank of gas? But since he had full trust in the fox, he decided to go along with it and shrugged, following Nick right behind to see what he had planned.

Nick walked up to a bunny talking to him in a low voice for several minutes often turning and pointing to his companions as he did so though it was hard to hear exactly what he was saying before the bunny handed him a set of keys.
"Much obliged." He thanked the bunny before rejoining his companions with a smirk of success. "Why bother wasting time to fetch gas for the van when you can just as easily convince someone to let you borrow their car instead?" He explained before the others could ask him what he had just done. "I told him we needed to continue with an investigation. Easy as pie."

Judy and Finnick also followed along too, and just like Renton, the two of them also had wondered what Nick's big old brilliant plan would be. They got their answer straight away when they saw the fox speaking to a bunny, only to return back to them with the bunny's keys he got from him. After Nick had just told them what he just did, Judy was unsure to think whether or not if Nick's bright idea was better than Renton's or not. "So instead of following with Mr. Whitetail's plan, you thought yours would be better just by telling another fellow rabbit you needed his vehicle for an investigation?" She asks.
"That's Nick for ya. Always cooking up schemes!" Finnick snicker with a grinned.
"Sometimes I wonder if you foxes ever think your ideas all the way through before you planned on setting them into action." Judy says, seeing how sometimes plan do end up becoming quite successful and sometimes they failed along the way, but this was just one of those she couldn't comment if it was the best plan or the most stupidest idea yet. "But if you think this is going to work out okay Nick, then I trust you. But we better make it quick before my family gets worried. They must've been waiting for us at the dinner table by now!" She added, and she knew she couldn't keep the rest of her family waiting for them anymore longer, otherwise they would knew that something was up.

"Trust me Carrots, we'll be at your home before you can say Pop goes the Weasel." Nick told her with a smile as he led the way to the car taking a moment to hook Finnick's van to the trailer hitch in the back of the car and sitting in the drivers seat and letting Judy take the passenger seat up front with him leaving Renton and Finnick to sit in the backseats before driving them back towards Judy's parents' home.

Renton went along with Nick's plan and got into the backseat of the car to take a ride back to Judy's family farm. During the trip, he contemplated over what Terry and Dallas may be doing at the moment in order to survive while in hiding. Since Gideon Grey wasn't of much help in providing any knowledge of where the two teenage rogues have gone, it would seem likely there wouldn't be anyone else who would know, either. After much self-reflecting, he sat forward in his seat and spoke up.
"You know, guys, I've been thinking. If we are to try and find Terry and Dallas, maybe we ought to think like them. I mean, they ought to have a certain goal or destination in mind and a reason for breaking out of their jail cells at the ZPD. If they were to go into hiding just to live off the land for the rest of their lives, there's no way they can do that. When I was in high school, I overheard someone tell a story of a young teenage wolf who left his family to take on a new identity for himself and go live out in the wilderness in complete solitude; let's just say...things didn't go well for him like he thought. I don't know if this story is exactly true or not, but the point being is that it's impossible to live out in the wild, especially at this day and age. Maybe Terry and Dallas are looking for something that's very personal to one of them. Heck, maybe they're out searching for someone."

Finnick and Judy followed along as well, with the fennec fox sitting in the backseat next to the deer while the bunny sat at the front next to her fox husband, who happened to take control of the wheel. It was a nice change of pace for Nick to be doing the driving for once, and Judy felt relived too; however much like Renton was thinking, Judy was also wondering too about her son and the no good trouble making boar as well and where they could be heading out to at this moment now.
Judy listened on to what Renton was saying as he spoke up about the boar and the fox/bunny hybrid, until he was done speaking so she turned around to face him. "Live out in the wild?! Terry wouldn't go do that!" She disagreed, shaking her head. Everyone else knew that living out in the wild would be the dumbest idea ever, and yet even she believe that not even Dallas himself would be stupid enough to come up with a pointless plan like that.
But when it came out to the point about Renton bringing up the fact that it was possible the two teens were looking for somebody, Judy looked away trying to ponder at that thought. "Searching for someone? Who? The only animals Terry knows besides us, Finnick, Dallas, Clawhauser and Chief Bogo are our families like my parents, siblings, nieces and nephews as well as Nick's mother and--" She was saying, but she had to purposely stop herself before her sentence could get finished. When it came to listing down all of their family members, there was only one animal Judy could think of that the female rabbit herself had never even met and that was her father-in-law; Nick's father, otherwise Terry's other grandfather that was from Nick's side of the family.
"Huh...I always did wonder whatever happened to him." Judy thought curiously to herself. She can recalled from a time when she first met her mother-in-law, and when it came to asking about the whereabouts of Nick's dad one time, poor Mary had broken down into tears just by hearing the word about him being mentioned. And knowing Nick too well, it was best not to be bringing that up again since it was a very personal and touchy subject for both Judy's husband as well for her mother-in-law too.
"Hey Judes! Why the silence?" Finnick asks loudly, noticing the bunny went quiet all of a sudden.
Judy finally snapped outta it when she heard Nick's old partner spoken up to get her attention. "Huh? Oh...it's nothing really." She told him, then with her gaze going over to Nick for a quick second, and then looked away before the fox could even take notice as to why. Getting back to the discussion Renton was telling from before; that was when Judy had actually remember something; "Come to think of it, now that you bring it up Mr. Whitetail, just the very night after the robbery from your apartment, when we took the boys back to the ZPD, they did mention something about using the stolen money they got to use it as a trade for a kidnapper whose holding Dallas' father hostage." She said.
"I personally don't know if they were telling the truth or not, but if they escape overnight just for that, then they must've been really serious about it." She finished. It did honestly sounded like the kind of thing a regular normal citizen would do instead of turning over to the police to do all of the work for them in search of the missing someone they're looking for. "The only problem is...we don't have any clues to who the kidnapper is or what he looks like; name, species, height, anything! For all we know, he might not be a legal citizen of Zootopia or Bunnyburrow." Judy added.
For all she had to guess, it did sounded like the kidnapper could possibly be a predator since Judy couldn't think of any kidnappers who were preys at all. But this was something they would have to worried about for another day since they needed to get back to the family farm for a good wholesome dinner and a goodnight's rest for tonight if they were gonna be able to continue onward for their quest.

"Great idea Renton." Nick complimented the whitetail deer. "We need to dig up as much research we can on Dallas' father, including his last seen and known whereabouts. That may help us to gain some kind of clue to his kidnapper and more importantly, a clue to where Terry, and that good for nothing rat, Dallas', whereabouts as well."

Renton nodded in agreement to the reasoning Judy and Nick displayed on how the group could now find Terry and Dallas. "Sounds like a plan to me," he smiled, sitting back in his seat.
Looking out the window to pass the time, he remembered how he left Stu and Bonnie hanging back at the farm, and he said, "You know, we probably ought to come up with some excuse as to why we've been gone for so long. I told Judy's parents that she needed me, Nick and Finnick for some kind of project out on the farm."

"You told my parents I needed help out on the farm?" Judy repeated, reacting a bit surprised though she did kinda wonder how they were able to leave without worrying her folks so much. Judy couldn't imagine what kind of reaction Stu and Bonnie would have if they knew to why she was gone so long, and why Nick, Finnick and Renton had to come and get her. "Well I certainly hope you boys think of something and fast on the way back before they find out something fishy was going on!"

"So we'll cover our clothes and paws in dirt and tell them you needed help preparing the ground for plowing to plant carrots and blueberry bushes, no big deal." Nick suggested licking his lips at the thought of blueberries naturally.

Judy rolled her eyes at her husband with a bit of a smile on her face, noticing the fox licking his lips because of thinking the very thought about blueberries and bringing up the word about them. "Him and his blueberries. I bet Mom has already finished baking those blueberry pies Nick loves so much." Judy started thinking to herself; imaging all of the delicious meals just waiting for her at the dinner table.
After being able to get gas for Judy's truck finally at last, and were able to return the borrowed car they got from the rabbit Nick talk to earlier. The very last thing they were able to do was get themselves cover up in dirt, all over on their paws and clothes. Next, they arrived back to the Hopps family farm just in time for dinner. After getting the both the two vehicles parked, they headed inside where much to their surprise, was Judy and Nick's niece Mina the first one to have found them. "Where have you four been? Nana and Poppa have been worried sick. You've been gone a while."
"Relax Mina, it's okay." Judy reassured to her niece. "We were just out planting carrots and blueberry bushes." "Really?" Mina says, crossing her arms, looking at her aunt, uncle and the fennec fox and deer with a bit suspicion. "That must've taken you four a long time to be planting all of those berries and vegetables."
"Haha well you know your Uncle Nick. Can't enough of those blueberries." Judy replied, trying to keep it all under control with a fake smile while forcing out a little fake laugh. "Cause that's where your cousin Terry got his love for those berries too. From Nick, cause he introduce them to him. The blueberries!"
"Uh-huh...." Says Mina, raising a upper eyebrow at them, unable to tell if they were telling the truth or lying. From what the young rabbit had been told by other family members, sometimes it could be easy to tell when her Aunt Judy would be lying when it came to the forced fake laughing and and fake smiling. But given how they were all covered up in dirt look like the proven evidence that they were out doing some planting all day long and may of possibly had lost track of time cause they got too busy.
"Well, you must be all starving because dinner's already at the table, including Nana's homemade blueberry pies." Mina told them.
"Great, let's get to eating!" Judy grinned, feeling relived since she was already feeling hungry and couldn't wait to start chowing down to all of the great meals on the table just waiting for her and the others.

"Blueberry pies? Why didn't you say so? I'm starved! Let's eat." Nick replied after following Judy in with the others heading straight towards the dining room where he could smell the delicious pies cooling on the table.

After cleaning themselves up and changing into fresh new clean clothes and enjoying a lovely family dinner, Judy and her husband Nick took some quality time to spend together watching the lovely moonlight stars up in the sky while their niece Mina play with all of the rest of her other younger cousins. When it finally came time for bed, most of Judy's siblings help out Finnick and Renton by giving them an old bedroom they could stay in and share. Given that Renton was their most tallest guest to have, it didn't came easy trying to come up with some ways to get comfortable to stay in the guestroom he would have to be sharing with the fennec fox, so what they did was used some of the free extra beds they had and pushed next to each bed in order for it to be enough for Renton to sleep on and get comforty.
While Judy's old bedroom was located downstairs, there's no doubt about that she and Nick would be spending it there since it was still her old room after all and they would still used it whenever they can when they would come over to stay with Judy's family. The entire household of the Hopps family home was peacefully quiet, expect for a few snores here and there, but they were mostly soft. Meanwhile back in Judy's old room, long after she and Nick had been asleep, the poor bunny was soon finding herself lost in a nightmare. "No...don't...." She groaned, tossing and turning around.
In the nightmare she was dreaming of, Mayor Bellwether shot Nick with straight on the neck with what the sheep believed to be at the time the night howler serum. Pretending to be concern for the fox as planned, Judy took cover hiding in the tall grass, but once she had got there, something strange had happened. The walls around her magically had melted, drastically taking an odd turn and before Judy had knew, she found herself outside in the wide opened dry up woods. "Huh? What's going on? Where am I?" She looked around, confused and scare.
Not only was Bellwether gone, but Judy saw no sign of Nick either. "Nick? Nick where are you?" She called out for him by his name again and again but still no answer. But then, something caught her eyes, out in the tall grass were a pair of long bunny ears peeking from out the tall grass. Wondering if that could be another lost bunny out seeking for help, she called out to the mysterious animal. "Hello?"
Hearing her quick call, the ears went back into hiding. Judy wanted to go check it out for herself, but because of her injured leg, she was unable to get up and walk to see who the animal was. Suddenly, she gasped taken by surprise of a loud snarling growl coming from the grass. Frightened, Judy back away but as the growl became more louder, the sound that was coming from the animal finally revealed. "Terry!!?!"
And there was her son, down on all fours just like Nick did before, viciously snarling at the poor helpless bunny until Judy could no longer move anymore once her back touched against an old tree. She became trapped, she felt helpless. "Oh Terry.....no." Soon as he was close enough to reach her, Terry opened his jaws and launch them straight on Judy's neck.
The bad awful dream took an interrupted turn quickly so fast, that it cause Judy to bolt up in a scream and accidentally fell right outta bed.
Awaken by the sound of Judy's loud screams, Finnick quickly got his baseball bat with him and headed straight towards for Judy's old room. From there, he busted through the door. "WHO IS IT!!?" He exclaimed, thinking that the couple could possibly be under attack, only to his surprise to be finding Judy on the floor.
Judy panted heavily. She could feel herself trembling in fear from the horrible nightmare in her mind. "I'm fine, it's just a nightmare. It's only a nightmare! It's not real! Terry wouldn't go savage. He wouldn't go trying to killed me." Judy whispers to herself shakily. She had no idea what on earth she would dream up something like that, but one thing is for sure, it was the worst dream ever.

"Carrots, calm down. It was only a bad dream." Nick spoke awoken by his wife's panicking. He took her arms trying to steady and calm her. "Look at me, Terry, is fine and we are going to find him, alright? Nothing bad is gonna happen to him." He added continuing to try and calm her down.
